They haven't, it is just a temporary digital-only thing, for during lockdown, along with similar ones in Bradford and Wolverhampton! https://www.holdthefrontpage.co.uk/2021/news/bbc-rolls-out-new-local-radio-news-services-for-two-cities/ Like the airport it’s something we don’t need to crow about in truth, their football club is enough to mock the sad sacks. Nothing to crow about at all, I don't think that anyone is doing that. On a pure footballing note, I think that we are massively underachieving, as we have for the last 15 years or so, whereas they are probably at their correct level. Our situation is about to change dramatically, but their's is unlikely to change much.

>>>>>IGNORE THE BELOW POST IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ A NON-OPTIMISTIC APPRAISAL OF THE TAKEOVER OF NUFC<<<<< Neither of those things are illegal (obviously). Here's what has actually happened, and what will come to light when this sorry saga finally peters out for good: this Keith Patterson bloke and his pal have spunked some money up the wall to pay for a letter from a very expensive QC. The letter had no impact on anything because its argument (that the Premier League not approving a takeover of a club by the biggest pirates of Premier League IP was a violation of competition law) was nonsense. That's where Robert O'Donoghue's involvement began and ended - he knew it was nonsense but someone paid his fees so he had little choice but to put together a nonsense argument (note that the talk of 'letters before action' and legal action being imminent disappeared into the ether...). The idea that Patterson is part of a co-ordinated legal attack concocted by some mixture of Ashley, Staveley, the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia and the Reuben brothers is genuinely insane. Recruiting local gobshites to pen appallingly-written letters to MPs is not how billionaires pursue legal strategies. Patterson, like Wraith, is a know-nothing gobshite using the desperation of fans to raise his profile for reasons we can only speculate on. The Saudi takeover of NUFC no longer exists as a going concern. Ashley is pursuing damages on the grounds of restraint of trade. No-one should give a shit whether he gets what he wants on that front. Interesting that you should actually choose to refer to 'genuinely insane'.

Whats he actually done ? Going from your last two posts you are talking negatively about the guy, lowkey accuse him of being a mackem. without researching who he is or what he has or hasn’t done? If you really want to know what he has done, go on to You Tube and listen to him on the 3 Amigos show dated 8th January 2021. If you listen to that, then you will know.

Fully agree, Keith is a force of nature, where very lucky he has added this new dimension to the attack. Some very thick people on twitter and on here (Sean), who just can’t seem to grasp what is actually happening here. He is fully in the loop with buyer and seller, and is playing his role as an annoying fly very well. Bird & Bird do not threaten him on 3 occasions, unless the PL are rattled. He also confirmed he has spoken to Robert O’Donoghue QC 4 times this week, and the conversations went ‘very well thanks’. Some people will just disagree with anything, but anyone who is not up their own arse and has an ounce of common sense, realises what is going on here. HWTFL, this is happening and soon in my opinion. Yes, many of the "dots are being more quickly joined up" (as you said earlier, Whitley mag) and they are joining up more and more quickly. In all honestly, there's not long to go now, in my opinion!!

Loved listening to Keith Patterson again this week on the '3 Amigos'. His best sentence tonight (which he said a few times) was "I can smell this Takeover" . . . In context, he was saying how clearly he knew it was going to happen, which is exactly how I feel. There are great years ahead, very soon, for NUFC and all of us.

A temporary Digital Station during Lockdown only, also one in Bradford and Wolverhampton. https://www.holdthefrontpage.co.uk/2021/news/bbc-rolls-out-new-local-radio-news-services-for-two-cities/

You are wrong. They don't want a club that is anywhere near the Championship. They could easily buy one now without all the bother if that was the case. If we get relegated they most likely will decide to go for Leeds, they tick all the right boxes. One club city, fanatical fanbase like us, been in the doldrums for years like us, also the Reubens most likely have business interests in Leeds and Amanda is a born and bred Yorkshire lass, plus Leeds could probably be bought for a lot less than £350m!!! The thing is, they all (individually and as a consortium) have made it clear throughout, that they want and intend to buy Newcastle United FC. They do NOT just want to buy "a club". Surely, you are able to accept that fact?
-
Thanks for that common sense response. Much appreciated. In my own defence, when you are at "the other end of the spectrum" on here, you have to be accurate and 'very certain' in how you express things, as otherwise you get "drowned out" in (what seems like at times) a sea of endless negativity, none of which is factually based but is all part of an automatic 'disenfranchised' expression of accepted - and expected - bad outcomes. It is difficult to accept that . . so I don't !
-
That’s all I was saying. I’m in the positive camp but was just saying I can understand where a bit of negativity comes from. I don’t understand why people in here have to batter people over the head wether it be with their positive viewpoint or negative viewpoint. For as annoying negative Sean is manor park is equally annoyingly positive yet one gets slaughtered and the other doesn’t. Believe what you believe until we find out for sure What I try to say every time, is that I am not 'positive' at all, just 'realistic' - when you look at the important facts about the people involved.
-
That statement is (in itself) not remotely true, it is only a 'perception' shared enthusiastically by some - too many - Newcastle United supporters. Also, this is different to the recent norm, you can see that when you look at (think about) the amazing quality of people in our new owners consortium (incedible !!!!!) and then add to that all of those who are now actively working to combat corruption and push this Takeover across the line. Our great City and our great club are in for "one heck of a ride", starting in the very near future! What are you talking about man we haven’t won anything since 1969. We lost out on the title in 96 after being 9 points clear in January (I think), lost two cup finals on the 90s. We had an amazing manager in Keegan who got forced out twice by those above him and we finally get a manager that’s won it all and he leaves after 2 seasons in the PL due to lack of investment We get a multi billionaire take us over and just our luck he’s a skinflint cunt You may not like or agree with the statement but there is definitely truth that nothing good happens/we have anything to celebrate. Honestly think your relentless positivity is borderline trolling ? I've just cleaned out our cats litter tray . . . OH no, sorry, I've just read your sad diatribe. Difficult to tell the difference !

Agree fully with all of that. Watched the entire show and it was excellent. Sometimes, when I read some of the illogical and negative comments about the Takeover on here, I feel I am on a different planet to those people. Watching that show yesterday made me feel I was amongst friends and reinforced my belief in the certainty of our eventual success in this Takeover. It was great to listen to someone who is actually doing something to help get this sorted. Great Stuff !!! "Illogical" Is that another "Spock-ism" ?? (I think it is!)

The Top 6 (at any time) are a totally diffent thing to the Sky-invented "Big 6". Their names should not be confused. Following last years 'revealing of their hand' the full name of the Big 6 (even though they don't really exist despite what their 'Sky inventors' incessantly say) is "The Big Picture 6".
