Correct, so please stop posting rubbish until the decision has been made. You could always just not bother reading his posts or just block him altogether, I really don't get peoples negative attitude to a positive thinker, 13 years of Ashley has had a bigger impact on our support than anyone can imagine. Thankyou. And thankyou "a random player etc", I have never posted "rubbish" anywhere at anytime in my life, just because I turned out to be wrong doesn't make it rubbish (as you already know, I'm sure). Yes, I am positive because I know we have been sold (don't you?) and that the necessary Admin Approval to this will be given shortly. I know, in my bones, that this great club of ours is about to escape from its 13 year jail sentence, and will become great again . . . and even greater. It will become FUN to support, once again!

I've just come in and read the last ten pages or so, so I have obtained a kind of "overall understanding" of what has been said. (1) There is no evidence at all that Ashley is now trying to stop the deal, neither is there evidence that he 'could', even if he wanted to (without huge financial losses). (2) The only thing that seems clear is that strong sources say we will "hear this week". (3) Now, I know that after my "27th July" forecast, my reputation is not at its highest, but I have NEVER thought that the bid would not succeed, and there is nothing in these last ten pages of 'dire worry' to change my mind. So . . . (4) It looks like we may get our new owners this week. Come on people - HAVE FAITH !!

I would probably still pick Saudis ahead of most others tbh. If they're good enough partners for our govt, Amanda and the Reuben bros, they are good enough for me. These journalists would be better off investigating which clubs are actively pulling Masters strings to prevent this and also what extent Bein are medalling behind the scenes. Exactly!

aaah yes like we did with south africa during apartheid You can pick many examples from any of the 'big old countries', certainly a few from us in the UK, but that is history, it is not how it would work in the modern world. Why would you choose to seek out examples from the long past, just to try and make some point. Why?

The only way to ever improve the world we live in is to (how can I put it) 'embrace' and 'deal and communicate' with rulers and countries that are currently like Saudi Arabia, there are plenty of them. A huge way to achieve our objectives with these countries is to trade with them (ideally not weapons!) and something like 'world sport' is a very good way to get/keep this process going. If we as a country reject these people, then they (and the fate of their people) will never improve. Forgive me, but that’s a mite paternalistic, not to mention entirely false. The only way to improve the world is to eat all the capitalists. "Paternalistic" - is fine (someone has to lead) but I'm not sure what I wrote is really that though. "False" - is incorrect, as any student of world history will tell you. "Eating Capitalists" - is not something I would - "burp" - recommend!

The longer it goes on the more certain it is to succeed. There is no way that, if they choose to fight and '16 weeks' confirms they HAVE chosen to fight, clever and successful business people like (1) Amanda Staveley (2) The Reuben Brothers, and (3) the Saudi PIF, will ever lose. Our three new owners are just too good for that to happen.

I feel better reading that. Thanks geordie john ! ..and thank you too! Do you think I'm on the right track? Very much so, it seems very likely that this case will need legal action (or perhaps only the 'threat' of it) to bring it to the right conclusion, and I think (also) that this is very close and may have even started. The thing to remember is that Staveley/PIF/Reubens individually mean business, and 'together' . . wow. I certainly wouldn't want to be in the PL's shoes if it comes to Legal Action!

Yes, it does, but I reckon it does for all of us at the moment. Unlike some, I am still absolutely confident that the deal will be done - just not today. I never expected all this about the structure, who is in charge, etc, delaying matters so much. Anyway, I tried to rectify the "negativity" imbalance with my "Manorparkians Group". We are still here, but I think there are serious discussions to be had so I'll butt out for now. (Ban me if you want to)

I reckon he's got until 10pm. Although his banning has already happened, it's inevitable, there's no changing history. Thankyou !! Still confident? The longer the day goes on, the more difficult it becomes to believe it will happen (today) but there is still time left. I bet you won a fortune when Liverpool were 3 down to AC Milan in 2005. I don't think he's stopped drinking since. Hmm, not bothered about other teams, though Liverpool were very lucky that day. I think I may 'start' drinking at midnight tonight, if there isn't a reason to start drinking earlier . . .
