I don't blame him not would I blame any/all of our players for wanting out of this circus act, it's the manner in which he's gone about it. It must be frustrating and I'd want to stick it to the man as well in his predicament but he needs to understand its not the buffoons at the top he's hurting with his antics, they quite clearly don't give a shit, it's the supporters and his team mates.

It would be interesting to know from the incomings that have quite clearly not been spent, whether our "debt" to Ashley has diminished or if he's still holding the full amount over us. That would denote whether he was trousering it or not. To argue that he isn't trousering it because he injected his own cash into the club is a hollow defence if said loan isn't being reduced when clearly the money is there. Even if it is sat on the balance sheet and looking pretty, the interest from it will be nicely pouring in, but to where?

I can just see the Fat man and JFK sat in the office with Cigars and Whiskey playing go fish deciding on when they tell us that their (non) business is done for this window.

Tend to agree with Owen, sorry was just a little sick in my mouth there, Pardew was harsh on HBA there, don't think he did much wrong today. Yeah he kept the ball too long sometimes but maybe, just maybe, that's more indicative of Pardews inability to allow players forward!

So now the imagined success of Pardew as manager is something to use against him Can we take it any further, or is it time to draw a line under this tedious silliness ? In reference to my quote, in the unlikely event that happened, I am sure it would be despite, not because of Pardew. Hence the smugness would be unjustified. If however, we played some decent football (guffaw) and won it in merit Pardew would get the plaudits he deserved. However if you wish to take it out of context an attempt to belittle me then have fun with it. If it also helps you to stomach the fact that we have an outdated, out of his depth, inept manager by condemning me then by all means skew your argument to support your delusions.

I'd love it if we could finally win some silverware and this is the easiest route to do so, none of the bigger teams take it seriously, we could feasibly be in with a chance. However, imagine if we did win that ever elusive piece of silver, imagine the smugness of Pardew as he manages to bring us something even the great Sir Bobby and the idolised Keegan couldn't do! His over inflated ego would be close to exploding and inevitably Ashley would use the ensuing euphoria to extend his contract by another 8 years at the point of least resistance. Just imagine!

I can't vote with my feet because I live too far away, but I'll do whatever it takes, no more merchandise, no away games in my neck of the woods, I can't even mustre the enthusiasm to watch a game on TV anymore. All the excuses for last season and people on here condoning them and the circumstances have changed but the footballs still the same. I honestly don't have any confidence going into this game and it's Pardew that has made me feel like that and I don't work with him every day. If he can zap that out of me from 200 miles away I can only imagine how the players feel, literally drowning in negativity. He won't field a full squad, we'll have a couple of "purples" on the field but the Ameobi's will get 90 minutes and it'll be 10 behind the ball looking to hit it first time to the front man on the counter. Same shit, different day, it doesn't work in any league.

And he can't resist telling us how good West Ham are and we can only hope to beat them, I can feel the positivity!!

Confidence, as said is bred by the manager, when he is publicly praising every other team we play and bigging up their strengths he is undermining our own players. This lack of belief is rightly affecting the team and his negativity concerning our status and our inability to not only keep up with the likes of the Manchester clubs but now the likes of Southampton too is bringing our confidence to its knees! It's one of Pardews many flaws and you could say the root of all our problems as it what affects his team sheets, tactics and ultimately performances and results. If I could change one thing abou Pardew it would be this, everything else would fall in line.
