  1. I hope there's scope there for a dynamic front 3, make it hard for them to mark us out the attack
  2. It does and it doesn't, they are a direct rival but its just 3 points out of a possible 114 so a drop in the ocean when we get it together, I get what you mean though.
  3. We're not going to accept with no recognised striker in the club, it's not just about the money and the huffy swede at this point, it's about what's best for the club, remove the emotion from the ordeal and it makes no sense to let him go at any price right now, it's not even a discussion and I don't know why people are still discussing it at this point.
  4. What is it with the dippers and spit? I'm also sure there's a "You'll never walk again" joke in there somewhere.
  5. Solid defensive display, hit them on the break and Gordon gets the only goal in a 1-0 win please 🙏🏻
  6. I hope its excruciating for him and I hope we win without him and get Wissa in first thing next week, the more isolated and useless he feels, the better after this fiasco. I don't want him to come crawling back with his tail between his legs, I want him to beg to be allowed to play again.
  7. Next time I watch Liverpool it will be on silent, that was horrific in every sense.
  8. Said this in the match against Palace last week, Liverpool are poor against the long ball to the RB or LB position, they look like they'll be free scoring this season but they look defensively frail, VVD looks done too, they won't get many clean sheets.
  9. I've turned it off, I'm sick of listening to Drury edging add to that the squeaky, phlegmy half time circle jerk, yeah knocking me sick.
  10. Properly nervous about this one, I'd obviously snap your hand off for a draw, we just need to tread water until we can get some actual firepower in place, squad looks a lot better than last season bar striker options obviously. Howe will have the team well drilled and I think we'll give them a game, I just hope that if we do get beat pretty soundly that people don't turn on anyone just yet.
  11. The media have turned on Isak, I don't think we have to worry about the "hostage" tag, plus lots of other teams have held players to their contracts also and it hasn't affected their ability to buy players since.
  12. It's not totally inconceivable that Isak was told we wouldn't entertain an offer of anything less than £150m for him and his agent leaked that info also.
  13. Some aweful takes in here mind, take emotion out of it, he's our biggest asset both on the pitch and financially, we aren't cutting him loose, selling him on the cheap or loaning him away without a replacement. He's going nowhere and he will play for us again at least for this season, maybe even longer depending on what happens and he will score a bucket load again because its his job and he's paid handsomely for it and if he does want to win stuff he can still do it here this season and put himself in the shop window if he wants off in the summer. It doesn't matter how you "feel" about his actions or behaviour, the club will act in accordance with practicability.
  14. He's not going to put himself in the shop window playing like that it is only a detriment to himself. That makes no sense whatsoever.
  15. The baldy nonce can find his own striker...and stay away from ours while he's at it.
  16. There will be a point, whether Liverpool publicly pull out or September 2nd rolls around, that he will have to reneg on his threats, he's not going to spend a season on strike, especially during a WC year and further damage his fitness and match sharpness. It doesn't benefit him to half arse it either, his stock will plummet and he'll be unselable. We just have to stand firm and ignore the noise.
  17. See again Kane, Suarez, etc... same scenario, same petulance, there's always a way back.

    Jacob Ramsey

The club have scored hit after hit in the transfer market, I'll gladly trust every purchase they make until they prove otherwise.
  19. There could be more speculation on a move but I don't think we'll see the skullduggery we've seen in this transfer window because we will have proven it doesn't work.
  20. Regardless of Ekitike scoring or not the scouse pricks can't go into the season with one striker that's playing with fire, as to whether the 2nd striker will be Isak, I feel like they have pressing issues across the park and will have to budget better than to blow it all on our star striker. I'm pretty sure this is over whatever happens, so a double hammy tear and a 4-0 loss on Friday please, just desserts.
  21. I concur, as I've said previously, being from the North West I have 4 friends that are Liverpool supporters and they agree that this has left a bad taste in their mouths and feel they're probably just another rung in his ladder before he does this to them too for one of the big Spanish clubs.
  22. I just can't see him going at this point, yes what he's done is toxic and yes he's a long way from being accepted by his peers, his manager and the supporters but at some point he needs to realise that the big picture is considerably more important than his immediate desires. Liverpool don't seem intent on paying what he's worth, they want him but not enough to pay his premium and although he is an elite striker there are big questions, not just about his endurance and injury record now but also his temperament, he's damaged his image. If I was Liverpool I wouldn't be paying the asking price but as a Newcastle supporter I also wouldn't be accepting anything less. There is a way back for him here but I think it'll take a bit of time and some pretty hefty back rowing, he's damaged goods now but he has an opportunity for a redemption arc if he knuckles down and if we get Wissa he will need to continually prove himself to not lose his position in the team and take himself out the shop window.
