  1. or.....and hear me out here....we could just spend what we need to spend and sell Isak next summer to balance the books to anyone else but the scouse bin dipping scum, we dont have to make the money first, we dont have a cash flow problem.
  2. That's just cost Sir Jimmy another £4k to keep them out there, another dinner lady lost her job for that.
  3. I would like to think, given his recent soundbites that he is somewhat engaged, he may not have his finger on the pulse but I have a feeling he trusts Howe and they seem to be singing from the same hymn sheet about Isak, he will probably take his cues from Howe but with Isak being his favourite player, so long as Howe still sees Isak as an asset I think Yasir will fight that corner for the club. All conjecture obviously, but just my take.
  4. I would think PIF do have a stance as Yasir has been very vocal about it as their representative, anything he says is PIF, I hope he continues to deal with this matter personally.
  5. I've recently deactivated Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tiktok and I've never been happier, social media is a cesspool
  6. Oh I don't think it's a reflection of how determined they are, more a reflection of how much brass neck they have, thought they could rock the boat hard enough that we'd roll out the red carpet for their derisory offer to end the misery. Played all through the press on purpose, every single soundbite carefully constructed to create the perfect plausible deniability and the most havoc.
  7. We have a saleable asset wanting away, we can totally spend now and recoup next summer to balance the books
  8. Genuinely don't think it should be, I think £150m is a starting point that doesn't get the door slammed in your face only.
  9. I still don't think it's a sealed deal that he leaves this summer, yeah sure if we get Wissa and Sesko in then it opens the door but that still doesn't mean that the bin dippers can get him on the cheap, it just means the team is properly prepared to go into the new season. After the way the player and Liverpool have acted we have to stand firm, make it the most difficult transfer for them possible, huge sums of money need to be involved and if Liverpool can't satiate that then they get nothing and Isak will have to swallow his pride and continue to play for us or sit it out and not disrupt our season. Whatever happens we still hold all the cards and given the way the two parties have behaved publicly we cannot kowtow to any demands, we have to send a message to players, potential players and other clubs that we're not to be messed with and deals will be struck above board and to our liking, we won't be bullied. Personally I wouldn't sell to Liverpool at any price given their actions, next summer and to a team on the continent makes far more sense, financially, professionally and optically.
  10. Their wings do look dangerous but if you cut off their supply through Fernández then they'll struggle. I genuinely think they'd be better off going for someone like Watkins too, someone proven at this level, because the entire weight of the club on the shoulders of Sesko and needing him to score goals straight away will not help his progression at all.
  11. I think the next 24-48hrs are crucial and hopefully bring an end to this saga, I'm hoping the right people are advising Sesko and the case has been put forward regarding the differing trajectories of Hojlund and Isak. We might not have the draw of a legacy club like Man Utd but we have the on-the-ground personnel to turn Sesko into one of the best in the world if he puts the work in and he can be an integral part of what we're trying to build here. I am excited by his potential, but he's not the be all and end all, there are a few other options left, but with the additional work we need for CM and RCB as a minimum, it would be nice to get this one sewn up ASAP.
  12. His value to us and his value of not going to a "rival" is significantly higher than his perceived book value of £150m. I'm already so annoyed at Isak for not only his carry on but his choice of club, anyone but them! But I'll be even more annoyed with the club if they sell him to them.
  13. I do hope, that even if we get Wissa and Sesko in that we do keep Isak anyway and rotate him, make him fight for his place in this WC year and earn a big money move to a club of our choice, done properly and with actual respect, not scouse faux respect.

    Yoane Wissa

I'm more than happy with us signing Wissa, I think he's a quality Wilson replacement, but if we're to sign Sesko too that almost guarantees Isak leaving and the optics of that are irreparable. I get that allowing him to leave is probably damage control and Howe has the team harmony at the top of his list, but selling to a team we want to be direct rivals with just implies we're not rivals and still a feeder club, that's my perspective.
  15. Give me Sesko, Ramos or Samu, I'm not fussed, all 3 look like really good options with bags of potential.
  16. It would make more sense to overspend now and recoup our losses by selling Isak next summer if he's intent on leaving because once that money hits the bank everyone will want more off us, so use it now without the Isak tax.
  17. Can't wait for Man Utd to throw everything they have at this with their £30m + £2m in add ons and a 1% sell on clause
  18. I would give my left nut for Isak to stay and Sesko to sign, just to see all the red tears and silence the tortellini toucher. If we lose out on either I'll never hear the end of it either. Do me a favour pif.
  19. See someone stuck 50p in Romano after a day of radio silence while he found a way to spin all of today's news, hilarious
  20. Pasta nonce just can't help himself can he with the Manchester Red soon emoji
