  1. That's what is intimated yeah, honestly lurching from one scenario to another in the last 48hrs is no good for anyone's health mate, hopefully we get some clarity soon.
  2. Time to take a dump or get off the pot, there needs to be a swift resolution to this, whatever that is, rip the band aid off, time is a ticking and we need to know which way we're moving before it's too late. All this posturing through the press is resolving nothing.
  3. It's time for the Saudis to prove we're not some sportswashing vehicle and they are taking us seriously. Isak is told unceremoniously he's going nowhere or we get a stupid amount of money for him and it gets spent immediately on making sure Howe has all the tools he needs to make ripples in the season ahead. We'd do worse than to bring Staveley back, even just for this window to sort us out, in hindsight she has been an enormous miss as no one above Howe seems to care too much and she cared about every fine detail. Sliding doors moment, give Isak his improved terms, bolster the squad and refuse his move or sell him to someone outside the league and use the money to seriously improve the squad, anything else is unacceptable and shows us as weak and not a serious club.
  4. Yeah absolutely agree mate, I said yesterday he owes us nothing in respect to loyalty, what he does owe us is the respect he's been afforded since he was signed and he's shown none this week, which is galling, especially for Howe.
  5. I think there's an element of truth here also, Isak was promised and deserves an improved contract and he's had one of the best teams in world football courting him, he knows his worth and we've let him down through empty promises. At the very least this is a power play to get what he deserves, he's tried playing nice and just keeping his head down and scoring goals and it's got him nowhere. I do think he's gone the wrong way about it and I don't support what he's doing to the club but I do understand his frustrations, hopefully it's not too late to rectify this.
  6. I agree, Eddie will be protecting the group and trying to get through preseason and preparation of his players with minimal distractions. Plus I think the club are obviously wanting to keep Isak so playing by his rules until we see where this is going, giving him some space to try and get him grounded and hoping he sees the benefits of staying with us for now.
  7. If Isak does leave then we need this sewn up asap, quick feet and a rifle of a shot on him, think under Howe he could really be something special and at just 22 his ceiling is insanely high
  8. I'd rip your arm off for Sesko like, if we can come out of this with him and change from the Isak deal then we've won at football
  9. Aye, no one can bemoan a player for wanting to do their best in a relatively short career, much like Howe alluded to, however there are ways and means of exploring those options and biting the hand that feeds you is not one of them, yes he owes us no loyalty but he does owe us the respect he's been afforded since he joined.
  10. I think it's too late now, this all has the feeling of inevitability, he's burned his bridges in refusing to fly to ASIA with the team and declaring he wants out.
  11. This is where I'm at with it all, we should have been coming out of last season, after having won a cup and qualified for the champions league, boosting our squad even further and making a push higher up the league, possibly even been in the title run ourselves. Instead we find ourselves digging through the bins round the back of Manchester United while the teams that finished 16th and 17th financially out-muscle us. We're all frustrated by whats happened this summer, imagine what it's like being a player at the top of your game with expectations and desire to win more.
  12. Same, screw the PL for creating stupid PSR rules that benefit the legacy clubs, screw the legacy clubs for hoovering up all the talent and preventing us from progressing, screw PIF for not finding ways to spend anyway, screw Isak for dropping it on us so late in the window like this, screw football.
  13. I still think if we pull our fingers out and bring some quality into the squad and slap a hefty pay package on the desk then he stays.
  14. I think he'd have been happy to see out another season here on better terms with a release clause for next summer but he's sat and watched us lose out on transfer after transfer and only Elanga come into the squad. Its hardly inspiring or screaming title challengers is it?
  15. There's literally nothing in that Hope article, no quotes, no inside info, nothing, its all conjecture
  16. If Pif expect a certain level of results from Howe then they need to back him financially, they can't be sitting on their hands in the face of PSR, they need to figure out other ways to introduce capital into the club, whatever it takes for us to offer the going rate for their aspirations. We have almighty financial muscle, we need to start finding ways to flex it or we're gonna be stuck in this rut forever.
  17. This is where I'm at, he goes to Liverpool, I go back to watching Fleetwood Town!
  18. This summer is more sickening than a Mike Ashley summer, at least we were numb back then, we have had the temerity to feel again and now we're getting punched in the proverbials for it.
  19. If it wasn't for PSR we would be able to compete for the likes of Mbeumo, Delap or Pedro because we could compete financially and not have to worry about where it leaves us, absolutely is PSR doing its job to prevent us competing.
  20. I'm choosing to take a step back, a deep breath and take the club line for truth until it's confirmed otherwise. It doesn't look good, the scousers have made it well known they want him and it's got to be appealing to think he could win it all with them, but it is absolutely sickening to the stomach that he might go there, the mere thought of it and their reaction to getting him would be enough for me to switch off completely, cannot stand the arrogant narcissists already without this. If this happens it just proves the premier league is broken, we should be kicking on and looking to improve again on last year, not selling the family jewels to survive. Anyway, Isak is our player until he is not, until officially otherwise, this is just a cruel coincidence.
  21. This, he will play out of his skin for that lucre and once its permanent he'll revert to type.
