    Mevlüt Erdinç

Reading just turned down £5mil+ from West Ham for Long. Not sure if the club would go much beyond that, would depend on how highly they rated him I suppose.
  4. Kidding, right? Number 1 looks fucking scary. Anyway, 312, but I'd have to think about putting a paper bag over 3's head first.
  5. How the hell did Swindon manage to get such a decent shirt/make/sponsor? Wouldn't surprise me if they're paying adidas - thought about going to watch them next year since they're not too far from me until I saw that tickets cost 25 fucking pounds. For league 2 football and all!
  6. 230k according to Sky Sports. But I'm sure Kun's just going for the 'challenge'.
  7. Probably been said before but it really does put the Carroll deal into perspective.

    Nile Ranger

Agreed. But I'm also with the club on this one. Potential, Ranger may have, but there's only so many times you can give someone a second chance.
  9. Because we want to keep or because we want to sell? Hmmmm........
  10. Looking forward to seeing him here, but its fucking irksome that he's off to Shitty mind.
  11. For a top 4 team maybe, Cole would be a regular in any team outside the top 4 bar Liverpool imo I wouldn't have him anywhere near out first Xl. He's had it. Agreed 100%. Completely lost his pace and movement.
  12. As mentioned on the previous page, this stuff about Pardew's contract is taken to mean different things to different people according to their agenda. Surely it's the remit of every manager to keep costs down?
  13. Loved Hughton and what he did for us, but some of these players need their heads tested if they reckon that sort of atmosphere is going to be replicated at every club. I've no doubt people enjoyed playing for Hughton but circumstances don't always dictate that that atmosphere translates to success on the pitch. I'm sure the 'team spirit' would have come under pressure had there been a few more West Brom-like results. No question in my mind that had we spent £30mil on a trophy signing none of this negativity would have surfaced in the first place.
  14. Suggested that Pardew's contract stipulated that, amongst his managerial responsibilities, his remit was also to 'reduce costs'. Folk have taken it to mean a variety of things depending on their agenda. Note: Golfmag had apparently been involved in drawing up Pardew's contract and had called his appointment about 2/3 weeks before Hughton was given the boot.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I do hope someone chins the cunt that did this. No need for that challenge whatsoever. Fucking neanderthal.
  16. I still hope the club ask for top dollar for him, for a player in his situation. No doubt the fucking bin dippers will be creaming themselves over this hoping to get him on the cheap.

    Alan Smith

We're almost certainly be stuck with this fucking liability for the remainder of his contract here. I worry that he's going to given the green light to cover for Tiote whilst he goes to ACN.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Precisely. No point in risking making something like that worse by having him around 'with the lads'. Get him back, get him treated, and get him rested.
  19. I see 'Rici' sees himself as a bit of joker (see comments underneath article) - 'pardick'
  20. Exactly what I was thinking. Looks a bit of a beast from the training photos. Good for him - at least he looks as though he takes his fitness seriously. Always thought he looked like a slight lad from the time at which he signed.
  21. Is it still wrong that seeing Smith in those photos boils my piss? Hope to fucking god he won't even get a minute on the pitch next season.
  22. Am sure it was about 1 or 1.5 mil. Might be wrong. I remember thinking at the time that it was a great deal.
  23. Defo Routledge there. Who's no. 15? He's fooking massive.
  24. It's different if you're selling a decent player to a decent team in a decent league. It's an entirely different story when you're selling a player who's consistently proved to choke at a higher level, who's clearly not fancied by the manager and who was bought for roughly between £1 and 2mil to a team in the Championship.
