  2. Christ. Love how various minions of the forum police crop up every now and again. It's like the Gestapo... i get increasingly nervous every time i sign on nowadays. "Someone please call 911"
  3. merge with "other games" thread maybe?
  4. hardly going to inspire confidence for Gomes. made me think though- that time we won 3-2 daaaahn the lane with the martins cracker, given was absolutely immense! couldnt bear to see him leave! I'd chant "One Shay that will never be forGiven"...
  5. Not an ideal thing, but I can understand Given if he leaves. In fact, I can understand any player that wants to leave Newcastle United at the moment.
  6. yeah.. it's the sun.. but... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/article2078475.ece

    Fantastic news!

True! when things settles we can sell them instead of letting them go for free.
  8. If thread topic is true, then this is a fucking shame like.

    Owen's overall game

Whatever Owen chooses to do, I'd not hold it against him. Of coure I'd like him to stay, because he's an important player for us now. But I also realise that IF we'd been in a different situation i.e being in the top 5 with no worries, I would min seeing him leave on the free or being sold as no player is more important than the club. At the end of the day we all want the players we have to want to play for newcastle United, rather than seeing us as just way of getting their pay cheque.

Rather have this poll after the Jan. window. Rigt now though I'm closer to a 1,5, but a few 3-pointers might change that drastically. Edit: To prevent any screamers
  13. Still want him out, although I realise he might be forced to stay a bit longer because of the credit crunch. I certainly does not see the situation in total black or white (as in either this or that). The one thing I'd like to point out is the all famous "but-guys-I-really-cleared-a-lot-of-debt" stunt, which I believe to be a reasonable thing to do considering the fact that a lot of EPL teams struggle with huge debt. West Ham find themselves in a bit of a financial mess with the Tevez/Sheff Utd situation, and I'd expect any of the top 4 teams to have some kind of financial trouble if they suddenly weren't to qualify for Champ. League or even loose out on a Euro qual. So I'd imagine we would have been in a bit tougher situation today with all the debt hanging over us. Regarding the transfer policy, the only thing that really has impressed me is Wise et al. work bringing in some very promising talents, in addition to Jonas and Colo. That kind of vision is something we've been lacking, and I got to say that bit is slightly improven. Apart from that, I feel Ashley has been a failure and a joke. When he first bought the club I didn't expect anything like Man City do now, but I got to admit that I expected us to show far more finacial muscles than we have. And for that reason, I am going to remember Ashley as the the story about the "wallet boy". ---> The story about the little kid who only had £10, and went to the store to buy a wallet for his £10.
  14. No... wait... yes... I rate him more than I rate Ashley! So... Lets get rid of Ashley instead, he's done next to nada after he discovered that the £10 he had in his pocket was a little bit short to run an EPL club.
  15. So... umh-eeh-uhm... this was the great news they's share with us after the chelsea game?
