I'm guessing people are not happy with the line-up? It looks alright to me. It's going to be a tough game, but I think we might just take them.
-
Krul Ferguson Colo Williamson Simpson Marveaux Anita Bigi Jonas Shola Cisse Now is the time this competition gets important.
-
Has Sammy actually done anything so far? Besides jumping into Ba.
-
Krul Anita - Taylor - Colo - Tavernier Obertan - Tiote - Amalfitano - Ferguson Ameobi - Cisse Is what I'd like to see. Rest the main guys, except those that need game time. Win comfortably.

He has played the wing under Pardew as well and did quite well. Never started there though.
-
I think we should rotate them as the striker in the 433 based on form.
-
I don't think his movement is good enough for him to be this successful in a front 3. As the front man in it, it surely is.
-
Rather get undeserved draws than deserved loses tbh.
-
The problem for me is, that we really have one player that is a cut above everyone else and we need to be playing him where he feels comfortable. The dilemma for Pardew though is that it would mean playing with only one of the senegalians or one of them out of position, which makes Demba sad. I would like to see this Tiote - Cabaye - Jonas Ben Arfa Ferguson Ba It's all about Ben Arfa.
-
I get a lot of enjoyment of it. I destroys me when it goes really bad, but it's always exciting to me.

There's bound to be some kind of termination-clause, maybe set by results or just making it cheaper to get rid than paying for 8 years salary. It really shows the amount of confidense the board has in Pards and will mean more stability for the team, it's a very good thing in my opinion. Maybe it's also to prevent other clubs/national teams from stealing, at least not without us making a ton of money. I think a lot of the reason for wanting to keep him so much is in this comment The board has been unable to work with a lot of the managers we've had (all expect Hughton and Pardew actually), so for them the scenario of losing him is a lot worse than any deficiensies he might have as a manager.
-
Thought he played a good game.

I like how after every bit of Enrique news, no matter how related to Newcastle, someone always writes "I'd have him back" and then everybody else follows. I'd still have him back like.
-
Actually I find that all the groups look very fun right now. Looking so much forward to Europe. Group E btw!
-
He has been played on the wing for Copenhagen as well, but he is a left back. Not one directly for the first team, but close.
-
Everton is buying Bryan Oviedo from FC Copenhagen. Very decent young attacking left back.
-
Colo £15m Krul £20m HBA £25m Tiote £25m Cabaye £25m Cisse £30m Ba £15m Perch £50m Anything like that then we've really got to be accepting the loss and hopefully pick up a replacement next window. No

Does anybody actually know if he wants to come back?
-
That sounds like quite a good player actually.

That should be our best line-up without Hatem. Very happy. Does that mean there is confirmation on ba, cisse, cab, tiote, colo and santon? -

Sounds fairly positive in terms of Ba, Cisse, Cabaya, Ben Arfa etc playing. So best case: Krul Simpson - Taylor - Colo - Santon Cabaye - Tiote - Jonas Ben Arfa - Cisse - Ba Worst case: Krul Simpson - Taylor - Williamson - Santon Marveaux - Gosling - Perch - Jonas Ameobi - Vuckic something like that?? Imo the 4-3-3 highly depends on Ben Arfa, without him the squad is better suited to 4-4-2. -
Chelsea, missing CL will hurt Tottenham a lot more, especially this year, and make them more beatable for us in years to come.
