Newcastle close in on Geremi deal Geremi Geremi is available on a Bosman free transfer Chelsea utility man Geremi has emerged as the latest transfer target for Newcastle manager Sam Allardyce. It is understood the Magpies are hopeful of signing the 28-year-old Cameroon star on a free transfer at the end of his contract at Stamford Bridge. Geremi made 23 starts and five substitute appearances last season, but has never claimed a regular place. Allardyce is believed to want to add Geremi's versatility to his squad as he rebuilds for next season.
