At the thick end of £70 a ticket, our crowd will be too posh to turn toxic. Be hard to boo and post TikTok videos at the same time.

What’s the fucking point man.

Plane just left Newcastle for Winnipeg.

Looking forward to us encouraging them to bid before they come back to us. “Hi Arne, it’s Eddie and JT here. We know about the great history of Liverpool, and those fantastic Anfield European nights. Do you know what you’re missing? Why, the finest striker in Europe of course. Well, it’s your lucky day. We currently have one here and he’s available for £150m. Don’t let the steep price tag put you off though, we encourage you to bid whatever you like and we’ll have a chat about it. Also - about that rendition of YNWA at St James’ Park, we’d be more than happy to oblige. We’ve also issued a special edition red Newcastle United shirt for that game, in honour of our illustrious visitors. We’ve invited Fabrizio Romano to come and unveil your new striker before the game too. See you soon, and remember, ARNE SLOT NA NA NA NA NA”

Give us Ramsdale (loan), Guehi, Gallagher (loan with obligation), Elanga, Wissa and Šeško, then we’re cooking on gas.
-
No, it means we can spend an extra £150m in total over the next three years and have a net neutral bottom line in PSR terms. If we spent £450m this summer then over the next 3 years we’d have 3/5ths of that (assuming 5 year contracts) hit the accounts in that time period - ie £270m, meaning we’d be in a net spend of £120m (£270m spent less £150m received) We’d then also have £90m hitting in year 4 and £90m in year 5 and no way to cover it.

That flight goes Salzburg -> Milan -> Newcastle. Clearly picking up Šeško and Thiaw for a double signing announcement.

Doesn’t matter if they sell in this window or not tbh as long as they’re sold by 30th June, and with it being a World Cup year next year we may see a lot of movement early again.

Just him sat in the changies thinking he’s on his own and the camera pans to seeing Isak in the background emptying out his locker

Only ever wanted Benfica

That would be glorious.

He’s absolutely gagging for him to go to “United”.
-
Give them a small sell on, if they say no then fuck it off.
-
They don’t have to sell before they buy - the accounting period is up to end of June, so as long as they have made the respective sales by then, they should be fine.
-
Not really. We’ve paid £4m loan fee which will all hit this year. We were paying £27m for Trafford which would have been amortised over 5 years, so £5.4m would have hit 2025/26 accounts.
-
What really bugs me about PSR is that the cycle is 3 years, yet you amortise spend over 5 years. So we sell a player for £150m now, then if we bought players in using that money we can only amortise the first 3 years of their contracts against it, giving us a problem in year 4 and 5.

If he’s going in the region of £40m I’d take him as the number 10, means we could switch from 433 to 4231 and reduces the imminent need for another CM

Done some Dennis Wise’ing of the new CEO and he sounds pretty impressive tbf. Hopefully he sorts the shit show out.

Hayden Hackney going from Middlesbrough to Ipswich for £20m is a prime example.

Pre-season (2026/27): NUFC to play Everton at Murrayfield on 12/08/26
NSG replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
One way of building stamina and endurance during pre season, I suppose.
