Yes because the income goes in the period it relates to. If it’s £10m contract over 10 years then you show £1m income per year. If you sell a player then it’s a single transaction, so you show the full income when the deal is done.

Guess this means he’s off. Cant help but think we’re better off without him if this is his craic though

Foden flying home for a family matter

Rumours our opening bid was £7m. That’s more like it.

Can’t see them dropping Bellingham like
-
If they sign him this week it wouldn’t really affect whether they need to sell or not this year. Pretty much none of this cost would hit the current financial year. Its entirely possible that they still have to sell before 30th June. (likely to be Duran).

Wasn’t sure if he was taking the piss or not about not knowing who we have for the last game

Yeah, the club should have had pre season nailed down months ago.

Bit grim to have the Premier League fixtures announced before the majority of the pre season games.

Let’s hope once the Copa America kicks off he decides he doesn’t want any distractions and turns his phone off.

Kvaratskhelia wanting out of Napoli it seems. Wonder if we’d look at him again given we had interest a couple of years back. Imagine he’d be £60m+ and it would require moving AG to the RW, so probably unlikely.

That was what the quote suggested. Talked about “dream clubs” and I’m sure Ashworth mentioned they were abroad. Anyway, if this is going to happen we may well see movement this week because Copa America starts later this week.

I’ll take a direct quote from the club over an unnamed source

That’s just not true. Here’s a direct quote from their president saying our offer was “good and respectable” but they couldn’t sanction the sale because it wouldn’t give them time to source a replacement. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60156955.amp

I don’t think anyone would laugh if you made a market rate offer for someone who is going to be a mainstay of England’s defence for the next decade. £35m is an absolute insult of an offer and does nothing to enhance the perception that Jimmy boy doesn’t have a scooby what he’s doing.
