i belive for one that our creativity (if thats what you want to call it) have been absolut shite in every game this season, delivery has been so poor that the only one who have been able to deliver a proper ball has been Zog, and that only on a few occations! Delivery and a proper passing game should be main thing on sams program every day! becouse its horrible to see our tactics to use owen on 30-40 meters. everyone who have seen owen since his youth know thats not the best option! at least when hes got 4 man behind him! our winger use has been shite as well!we cant have our wingers have to go pass left midfielder and left back every time, remember its zog and milner, not messi and ronaldo! usually, depending on any formation you play, its all about getting past the joints of midfield by passing to the wingers! Our "creative" force of emre and barton (and butt the headless chicken) has been absolutely shite as well! emre has had spells... well... spells at corner kicks! barton has offered one good pass, and one excellent one! butt.... well... hes just been running around kicking at people :parky: i dislike the way we play! in every way now! its hurting my eyes acually! we dont bring LB or RB forward, maybe someone would disagree with me on that point, but show me at least 3 times when our LB and RB has been over the centre half in one match and ill be stunned! we dont play our wingers into better positions, we dont use our strikers in the way we should, and we dont use our central midfielders in the way we want to.... seems we have a basic problem? or is it just me so sam... im sorry for a bit of critisism right now! but i for one are certain that owen is a great player, and what he has behind him is a good squad, played the wrong way!

im in particular not happy about the way we play on our strikers , i belive with just a bit of alterning how our wingers get played into the game, they could create a lot of chances for our strikers. owen have never created much on his own, he have always relied on good balls by his team mates...- its incredible how people think owen should get the ball at centre half and create everything on his own, just plain stupid thinking like that. his movement is still great, but the point at making owen run after long balls (thats acually very bad long balls) and get him to challenge players like campell in the air is very frustrating at least for me to watch... such a waste of talent! im agree that zoggy and milner can play on both wings, i think they did farely good with what they had. but when a winger or right midfielder recieves the ball at centre half with almost 8 players in between them and the strikers, its very hard to do something... our entire build up phase should be altered! and the thing about cacapa, his a good professional, he will kick his arse for that one and probably slam his mates a bit for the job as well! but the game should be forgotten in his eyes!

delivery tbf, is awful, zog had a good start, else... its really bad

well, i saw the match on the telly, but my main point of view is that we are missing a couple of things! 1. a proper passing game, if you watch any other team in the league (except derby i would think), the passing game is exellent, but not ours. this is something we have struggeled with for a couple of years, and we REALLY need to improve on it! i dont really think anyone can blame owen for anything this game, he is just doing his best! if a player dont get the ball to his feet... EVER... its not much he can do! owen had the ball in his feet twice during the entire game (near the box), there was a goal at the first one, and a very good save from james on the other one! seriously, passing game in midfield and wingers up to strikers are horrible! 2. second ball, striker support. well, second ball is also a problem we seem to have. Our team seems to be laying very low at times, especially the wingers who really should be up there trying to score goals or even link up plays with the strikers for a change. Owen and Smith seems very lonely at times, and when you are 2 against 4 or 5 it is very hard to create something (especially with all the long balls!) 3. lack of (entusiasm?) sometimes shit hits you in football, thats something we all know, 3 in a row happens! but then we get one in (by a brilliant run and a helping campell) and we just seem to shut down...? i was very frustrated to see it was only the subs who very running after the ball when they got a throw in etc., fact is you dont have much time when your down 3-1, and you have to make the best use of it! apply pressure! players should run their asses off! best man of the match would be rozendahl, made our defence sturdier, and cinda calmed things down... for people who praise butt, wake up folks! butt is WAY out of position ever other game! and when he is, he is utter shit! his passing game is not something he would get the nobel price for! okok maybe he shuts down plays, and have a fair tackling game! but thats not good enough if he cant hit his team mates or even stick to what he does best! my ratings for this game would be so Harper -5- one or two good saves? shit judgements on the 3 and 4th goal Enrique -6- Good offencive game, but whats up whit a million long balls who hits air? Faye -5.5- Got scared by cacapa, got better later in the game, very good second half in my opinion! Cacapa -1- Subbed after 14 min? Nuff said Taylor -6- fairly good game from him! gave us acually a good drive forward at times! Milner -4- Did nothing really! Zog -5- Looked a treath at times, but lacked a bit of everything this game! Barton -5- One or two glimpses of ability, but he should really be eased in! big sam! open your eyes! shouldn start next game, or the one after that one... Butt -5- tackels good, breakes down plays at times, but off day for him as well (read further up) Owen -6- As i said earlier, what can he do? think he did farely good with what he had! Smith -4- Yellow carded again, worked hard, but it didnt pay off in any way really Subs Rozendahl-7- my only 7 and probably MOM in my eyes! eased down the defence, and he can play the ball to midfield wich none of our other defenders do. Emre -6- Did alright, but didnt have any impact! showed his work rate and determination to do well for the team! Martins - 6- showed he should start games, to bad he didnt bag that one! as for ports. good game from them, but nothing special except from the first goal. James showed once again what an excellent keeper he really is! best goalie in the league in my eyes

I'm sorry mate, but I still think you're talking complete tripe. I've been in attendance at every home game this season, as well as Boro away and Man City away. Spurs - Although we didn't create a great deal, we never looked like we were going to lose it. I agree Spurs were poor but we can only beat what's in front of us. Everton - Could, and probably should have been 3 nil up at half time after creating a lot in the first half. Poor 25mins in the second half but Sam turned the game on it's head with his substitutions. Wigan - Had enough chances to win comfortably, ended up leaving it late, but we deserved the win. Man City - First half was quite good. Lacked creativity, but our allround play was good. Poor second half. Bolton - Played some cracking stuff first half. Poor in the second half but that can be expected when you're 3nil up at half time. West Ham - There was a point in the first half when I thought we were poor, but overall we were dominant and deserved the win. I think people are just getting ahead of themselves. IN MY OPINION, we have shown a good deal of progress, especially in home games, and if we can transfer that to our away form, I'll be happy. But then again, I'm not of the opinion that we have a divine right to finish in the top 6 this year. There are a lot of teams as good as us or better fighting for positions (notably Portsmouth, Blackburn, Everton, Man City, and maybe even Villa and West Ham). Top 8 for me would represent a good season, and significant progress. agreed

i think the main thing sam has given us is defensive stability, something we... well, havent had for the last 10 years or so! now he needs to shapen up the offencive part! wich i recon wont be so long until he has that one figured out! remember, new players, new positions! the main problem now is delivery from defense to wingers, and a main man linking up midfield and attack! still, i enjoy watching newcastle matches now (as under the days of Sou, Roe, i werent!) becouse the players look like they want to play! and enjoy it! theyr happy!, im happy they want to fight for the ball!

There are major problems in MF for sure, but they're no the only ones. I hear that if Lennon spent as much time on the training ground as he does going clubbing, he could be a world class talent. The questions about King is not when he comes back, but if he comes back, and if he does come back, how long will he be back for? Crying shame because he is talented and a really nice bloke too, but he won't be the first to have his career cut short. JJ was at his best with a truly able defensive player alongside him. Carrick was up to that and JJ flourished. Take Carrick away and JJ's shortcomings are there for all to see. It's not that he can't play well for Spurs, he needs the right person alongside him and Zokora isn't that person and Huddlestone isn't (yet??). Maybe JJ would play better if we got renamed Tottenham Patriots? Is King crocked, then? Would be a shame. Arthritis. Rumoured to be announcing his retirement if this latest operation isn't a success. Sounds like his knee is just flaking away. I'd prefer to see him retire now than to wind up in a wheelchair sometime in his later life. MJ i take that jol will almost certainly get the old tin tak if you fail to beat Blackburn this weekend? Do most Spurs fans want him gone anyway now? Whats our chances of getting the unhappy Berbatov? what is wrong with Berbatov anyway, big fall out somewhere i take it? i really hope berbatov comes here in the january window

Hopefully in Jan we'll be able to try the Owen/Smith. I have a good feeling about this combo too. Owen is still the best finisher in the PL. Owen and Smith up front with two fast wingers supplying the crosses would be nice. just need to buy that right-winger now... We have Mil...... ah I can't be bothered still milner is a good winger, but just not what i would have in the starting XI. a man that i would prefer to have on the bench and give us something else.

i belive that his positioning is increased greatly, before the injury he relyed very much on his pace to get him in to positions. clinical finishing, well, yeah about the same, but did he score as many headers as he does now? still funny seeing owen score on the head

so what your saying is he lost his quality, the pace, and now has nothn left? i think owen has improved as a striker acually, but he lost the pace that made him world class yes, but still, better striker now than 3 years ago

well, i watched the game on the telly as well, and the only one i think is currently over rated now is butt! ok he did his fare share of runnin, and was excellent at breaking down play! (poor jenas) buy djeez, how many times during a game, where he gets a pass, turns, and looses it! the 10 minute spell, if you watch closely, is butt loosing the ball in midfield for them to attack! (but that also states how important he was in this match as well) still, butt had a great game, but saying he should have a 9 or a 10 on the ratings is utter bullshit in my opinion btw, istn emre supposed to link up play between midfield and attack, whereas butt does this every time he plays? find it a bit funny, as i see butt as an DM, and emre as an AM

Hangeland = s**** and stop with the caps lock ffs! as for hangland, i am danish so i've seen quite a bit of him lately. he is definately looking a lot better than when he first arrived at FC København, but i'd still have taylor, cacapa, roz and faye ahead of him, so i think it would be a waste of money tbh first , hangeland is not shit, but yeah, now we have taylor, cacapa, roz and faye ahead of him. so if not a waste of money, he would get very little of playing time, wich i think he wouldnt be to happy about. but the thing i like about hangeland is that he is a bit like cacapa, a very good reader of the game, his positioning is very good. but of course not as class as cacapa.
