  1. Don’t think anybody is proclaiming MBS is a swell guy. The whole sale thing has highlighted just how bent the epl is, highlighting there links to the Qatari government through Barclays Bank, Richard Keys being feed information against NDA,s. The interference from the top 6 clubs and the effects this has on all the other teams in the league. In my eyes at the expense of the sale of out club I’m glad this is happening.

  3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-53677869 Here comes the push back The 106-page unproven complaint, which was filed in Washington DC, accuses the crown prince of attempting to murder Mr Jabri in order to silence him.
  4. Greg[/member] Can the above statement be used to our advantage, or even mentioned in Fridays NUST meeting
  5. Guy is generally a scumbag. He voted against the 2nd Tyne tunnel and also against the Silverlink roundabout and A1 duelling. Had the misfortune of meeting him once before. He's an extremely bitter bastard. Hates NUFC or anything north of the Tyne for that matter. Openly admits it as well. Guy is a full blown Tosser. He sent his son to Whitley Bay High school despite living right next to John Spence. He sent him there because John Spence doesn’t have a good reputation or OFSTED rating, or at least it didn’t at the time, where as Whitley Bay did. If he was anyone else there is no way he would been able to send his kid to Whitley Bay over John Spence. Even if John Spence was full, he would have been required to send him to Marden, or Monkseaton ahead of Whitley Bay. It just so happens that both of those schools weren’t highly rated either. He was a teacher at Whitley High when i was there. He started dating a sixth form student and then left the school under a bit of a cloud i seem to remember. Then they got married a few years later. He was a right arsehole. Yes. He was born in 1957, left Whitley Bay High School in 1989 when he was 32. A sixth former would have been 18 when they left, so the scenario was he was 32 (or younger) and she was around 18 when they started seeing each other. Not a good look for an MP. It must make for an uncomfortable moment when anyone asks him or his wife how they met. Especially if that stuff made it's way to his constituents
  6. Was going to get one but got reminded I’m out for a meal with the in-laws that I booked. Fs why did I do that.
  7. Don’t think they even have to publish the transcripts as there a private entity. What really needs to happen is that the EPL needs to be come more transparent in the way that it operates and be held more accountable to the FA. Cannot see that happening either tbh
  8. You recon, personally I doubt they ever will be a comment from the EPL. It will be some token gesture via the buyers/sellers side that the sale has eventually failed because*insert random reason not related to the O+D test*
  9. Aye posted the article on the prev page, I’m not surprised it was always going to happen. One thing the do mention Man City’s take over in 2008, which is the first time this has been mentioned. Having a criminal conviction prohibits ownership, but there is no morality clause included, and Manchester City's Abu Dhabi-backed takeover in 2008 was approved despite similar concerns over human rights in the United Arab Emirates.
  10. I guess in our case they want to keep the PL sweet for the next round of TV deals Maybe, but as we are one there main pulls for live TV games you would hope it was worth mentioning
  11. I'm suspicious of any media outlet not giving this at least some coverage at the moment. time to start attacking sky sports then with @skysportsnews
  12. I can't help but note that in this report (and when they first reported it) they totally completely skip over that the PL are being called corrupt by fans, that that hashtag is trending, and why it is felt that they are corrupt. Can't put it down to libel either as all they would be reporting on is what is being posted. I love the BBC, but this is just lip service. That's because we may think it is but until its legally proven to be the BBC would leave themselves open to a libellous law suite
  13. The pressure is building day by day. Fucking brilliant work everybody.
  14. Just below 10k, had over 3000 new members. 30% increase wow that’s massive
  15. Yeah I’m on the same page. All we and the buyers want is the answer what ever that may be.
  16. They would have done that by now tbh. Perhaps the test will fail but this whole process where forcing might just put The EPL under the spotlight in a way that changes things for any future take over of our club or any club in the EPL. Surely that in its self is worth being keyboard warriors for.
  17. Done months ago tbh and cost f*** all. And better than the Man City badge. Fiverrr tastic. Looks decent tbh. Thought the same
  18. Signed Have to say, for fear of being all Penn-like, I think you're all losing the plot if you think there's any mileage in this being resurrected I've just gone into full on cynic mode and I just cannot see, with the backing of Qatar and the major PL clubs, how the PL won't get away with just burying their head in the sand. For the life of me, I just cannot see who can force them to do anything. (there's definitely some self preservation going on by forcing myself to believe this) Maybe it won’t but at least I can look myself in the mirror and say at least i tried to do something, at least I got involved. Aye, that's absolutely fair comment. Good way to deal with it all. Despite my cynicism, I have joined the NUST and will see what I can do too. That’s all we can do bud. ?
