We did for a bit. I remember him shooting from a couple, which is probably why he was then taken off them.
-
I bet Hatem could do at least 4.
-
Probably Storey, he writes for F365 and has family who are from the North East and are Newcastle supporters. He usually writes very well on Newcastle matters.

Lee Ryder said he's one of the best he's seen for NUFC at that level so......... no.

All stats based scouting like a moneyball of football. Even before this summer they'd made big profits on lots of other players in the last few years Yeah their owner is Matthew Benham. He was a professional gambler, owns a company who were basically a big team of data analysts and they made fortunes using their own ratings system for football teams. He then became majority shareholder of Midtjylland in Denmark - they used a lot of data analysis for recruitment / set pieces etc and won the league twice. Now doing the same at Brentford and seems to be working pretty well there too.

the tab is half his size. Aye you're right, he's a bit of a prick, just annoying to see how good he could have been. Got in a fight a club too didn't he. feel like that's the exact story he's telling the blonde bird. "Oi, he came at me luv, got a torche?" A friend lived near Watford when Wilshere was at Arsenal and he fairly often saw Wilshere out on the town, absolutely off his tits.

Luckily Wilson has a great injury record and so do we under Bruce.

https://www.themag.co.uk/2020/10/jonjo-shelvey-credits-steve-bruce-for-win-says-under-rafa-would-have-just-been-lumping-the-ball-newcastle-united/ So, 'lumping it' under Rafa, but I guess Bruceball is something akin to Barcelona, eh?? That is an absolutely astonishing quote. He can fuck right off. He was finished under Rafa ie a proper manager. Him and Bruce deserve each other, just a shame it's at our club.

Charnley - "how much for your player please? £30m? Would you take £3m? Ok bye." Asking about the price ffs

Great signing for Villa that, would have loved Barkley here. Provides good attacking threat from central midfield whilst having a good engine to get about the pitch. If Watkins can make the step up they've got the makings of a decent side there now.

What's Semedo like? Got a Wolves supporting friend who is interested to know. He's been quite inconsistent, tbf, but has had great flashes. Maybe with more stability he could flourish. By all means he's a good player. Attacking-minded, but not as gung-ho as people thought at first, he has decent defensive positioning. Again, he's been very unconsistent but the fact he never nailed down the starting berth hasn't helped.

His defensive numbers are horrendous. He's a good passer of the ball but if he's playing as one of 2 central midfielders then, more often than not, we're just going to be overrun in midfield as he's a liability when we don't have the ball.

Apparently they'll sign Thiago regardless of whether Wijnaldum leaves.
-
Liverpool apparently agreed a deal for Thiago. Bloody brilliant player.
-
Maybe this is the payoff from the Nacho Gonzalez deal. It was worth it after all.
-
Can we have Buendia too please?

Rodrigo De Paul is class. After what could have been in the summer I'm now envious of fucking Leeds. Christ.

He’s good but not a CF. Other than Carroll we still have no CF who can lead the line in the truest sense of the word He is a centre forward. Watkins, remembered his name. Take James point to a degree, he's not a Carroll type gonna successfully fight for hoofs with Bruceball but then neither is Armstrong, which was the point. Watkins physically better suited imo, reminds me of Calvert-Lewin a bit. Carroll is a centre forward from a bygone age, but in this day and age they need more - Watkins is very much a modern centre forward. Good mobility and creativity whilst being decent in the air (he scored 8 headers last season) and a goalscorer. He can play wide but he spent the vast majority of last season as a central striker.

To be fair to Armstrong, his stats in the Championship last season (not just looking at goals and assists) were very good. But it would feel strange re-signing him and not exactly a transfer to excite people or suggest we're going to do anything but struggle this season.
-
Er, why are they not commenting on where Joelinton or Muto are? We don't have any fucking strikers, we could at least get the ones we have in training.
-
David Brooks could potentially be a very good player, once he gets over his injury properly.
-
Jeff Hendrick is absolute garbage

Did anyone read Caulkin's Father's Day article at the weekedn? I thought that was great, had me welling up a few times.
