Only option is to travel to Nottingham, England my friend. Surely its a stream somewhere?? Not that i would recommend anyone to do it, as its illegal. And you, how are you going to follow the match ? Probably on English radio. Did you watch the Aston Villa match Mimi? What did you think of Cabaye? Is that more like how he played for Lille (supporting the attack from midfield)? I only watched the second half. I thought Cabaye was brilliant and well, he deserved a goal at least for the numerous attempts he had/made. In Lille, he played pretty much like that. He could easily play a more offensive role in you midfield. That is what i said last time, it would be a waste if you didn't take advantage of his offensive capability. But for that you have to play much "in feet" and not throw long balls to your forwards. I really can see him scoring around 5-8 goals for you during the season. I hope that the QPR game was a one-off and that we will play the ball on the ground from now on, especially with the return (fingers crossed) of Ben Arfa and the impact Cabaye had with a better passing game against Villa. It's good to hear (and see) that Cabaye can be a potent attacking force from midfield, as I was a bit worried he was playing too deep in our previous games. Hopefully Pardew and Cabaye now realise that he is at his best for us when he supports from midfield and has a bit more freedom, and we have Tiote cleaning up behind him. Surely it was. Cabaye is a very constant, regular player. Give him a bit freedom, put Tiote behind him and in a few weeks you'll probably have one of the best midfield in the PL. From what i've read here, it seems to be that Cabaye has already succeed to make you forget (both physically and in term of football speaking) your captain Nolan... Cabaye is a hundred times more gifted than Nolan, and also has a better engine to help out defensively. We will obviously miss the amount of goals Nolan scored last season, but I think Cabaye can get between 5 and 10 hopefully (in the league) and he offers so much more in other areas of his game than Nolan that yes, I think everyone has pretty much forgotten about Nolan. As for Cabaye's looks - ooh la la! Im definitely developing some sort of man crush on him. Well, he is elegant but that's all. Name me a better looking footballer! You clearly have very high standards Mimi.

Lad at work today was creaming himself over Vaughan, Gardner and Larsson, going on about how Sunderland's midfield is 'miles better' than ours. Amazing what one win does to some fans. If anyone genuinely thinks Gardner is a better midfielder than Cabaye (which I don't think Wearyside actually does, given his 'goals win matches' response) then they seriously need their heads checking.

Best, Tiote and Agbonlahor with the bonus points?! Seriously the bonus points this year are an absolute joke, to not have Cabaye in there at all. Agbonlahor was absolutely dire, they obviously just look at who scored and give them the top bonus points, then anyone who got an assist. It's starting to ruin the whole thing to be honest.
-
Nope, Le Tiss is doing bonus points for this week. Hard lines.

So he apparently played last night for Hungary U21s, meaning he isn't injured. Did anyone catch the game? If so, how did he play? Seems odd how he's so out of favour and can't seemingly get near our matchday squad, despite how short we have been / are at the back. Whenever I have seen him he has looked fairly promising.
-
The thought of Ben Arfa playing in front of and linking up with Cabaye is pretty mouth watering like. If they can stay fit we could play some very sexy football.

Seen Danny Simpson a couple of times recently going in and out of the RVI. Hope his bairn is ok

I think the Spanish dude is right.

Ba was an opportunistic signing - he wasn't even available until West Ham got relegated and I doubt we would have gone for him otherwise. We should have had other targets since January and if we don't get another striker in it's unforgivable in my eyes, especially as we have money available. Its ridiculous that it has even come down to the final week, let alone the final day.
-
So the reason we're not signing him is that Sochaux couldn't get a replacement on the penultimate day of the window? Utterly pathetic from us.
-
Scored 1. According to espn stats he only started 5 games for sampdoria in total. Started 2 cup games, scored 1. Started 3 league games, 11 sub appearances and 0 goals. Seems a bit harsh to judge him based on mainly sub appearances.

eh? I'm off sick, if I wasn't I would be sitting in an office making my 7th toilet visit to check the latest. Sick or not, Im still waiting for an answer in the Alan Pardew thread

One post on there mentions Demba Ba, and how he did nothing against Sunderland last week
-
In the Yohan Cabaye thread? Look at the top of the page - people are discussing why Tiote looks off the pace. Guess I should have quoted their posts.
-
I was talking about Tiote!

Is he definitely fasting for Ramadan? Cos there is a pic of him drinking from the match pics on .co.uk

Tony Gayle on SSN this morning when asked about Jose - 'He's excellent going forward, but there's a question mark for me over his defending in one-on-one situations.'

I thought there was a wage structure at Spurs and no-one was on more than £50k or something? There is a wage structure. £75k is tops. Ah ok, just thought it was lower than that.

The Keirrison article just says that we want him, we have made contact with Barcelona and the deal could be done for £4 million. Seems a bit like a nothing article, no great detail, quotes etc. I know some people on here aren't too keen on him but he does have a very good record in the Brazilian league, something like 71 starts and 48 goals if I remember correctly from when I looked him up earlier.
