Definitely a different breed of gangster / hard men in the North East compared to what goes on in places like Manchester, Liverpool or Leeds. Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing, would rather have some blokes shouting “spekky twat” and smashing rivals windaz with bats, than toting machine guns in the street and shooting innocent bystanders

Dear Ottoman, I humbly say, I'm sorry if my words did betray. In jest or folly, I've caused you pain, I seek forgiveness, like springtime rain. Your transfer knowledge, I now perceive, And in my thoughts, I will believe The Frimpong you shared, the guidance bright, A treasure found in darkest night. With open arms I offer this plea, Lavrimento’s not for NUFC.
-
In shadows cast, Lavrimento's plight, An ACL sorrow veiled from sight. Yet Frimpong stands, a beacon strong, To lift Newcastle up, right any wrong
-
Could Ottoman feasibly, leave the atmosphere, they'd ask, With skies aglow, an earnest task, In daring to dream, beyond the known, A world of transfers could be shown.
-
write a short poem about Ottoman who is not very clever and probably a Sunderland fan In Sunderland's realm, Ottoman, the fool, With playful antics, they'd ridicule
-
Aye, mad Joe completely off his lips on Bostik getting a semi in his tracky bottoms about signing players we already owned
-
Get yasel awwa to the Maxi thread for the answer to that one Never mind simply just coming to the Prem and shining, he's apparently become the greatest winger in world football
-
Chelsea are so completely off their tits on extra strong glue that they'd probably sell a player to themselves
-
He’s got Francisco in the middle We’ve signed exactly who we need Livramento at the end Valentino’s round the bend The longest name in the premier league
-
In an era where the recruitment team are trying to keep their dealings confidential, there's naivety in someone having a decent sauce and then plastering loads of specific details allawwa the Twatter You'd probably expect it from a well networked journo, but not some average punter Chances are the sauce will decide it's too risky and dry up, or someone inside the club will tell them to dry up. Don't bite the hand that feeds you etc

In the true spirit of this thread I want to see some xG stats on mice killed vs blackbirds maimed vs turds done in raised beds to truly understand whether outdoor cats should be peddled, or not And is a lazy but sometimes exciting cat better than a hard grafting but less exciting cat.

Absolutely world class but doesn't play for his country and no major clubs appear to have shown any interest in him, even though it's been obvious for a while that Howe doesn't fancy him He's canny on his day, but he's not world class Be surprised if many fans outside of the Premier League even know who he is
-
I've heard the same from senior level back-room staff

Eh. The comment from someone else was; if a player is considerably motivated by money then it'd be hard to turn down the offer of a massive wage hike in Saudi even if it meant compromising their career at 26. Maxi is a flamboyant show off on the pitch, which is why people love him. I see him regularly off the pitch and he appears to be a flamboyant show off in his personal life too. This is not a criticism, there are loads of young millionaire footballers like him and fair play to them. I'd love to be in a financial position where I could buy a £250,000 head turning 2 seater Lambo to commute from Jesmond to Benton.
-
I'd heard Burns car had issues because no-one could make their mind up whether he was better suited to driving in the left hand lane, or the middle one.
-
Because it was plagued with mechanical problems and rarely made it onto the road ?
-
Dan Burn drives a Smart car But seriously, some footballers aren’t overly flash. Maxi seems to love the trappings of wealth, which is fair enough. I’m not criticising him for that.
-
Maxi also appears to be very flash Got the Lambo and also a Bentley etc Not criticism of a wealthy bloke having expensive things, but he seems to embrace the millionaire footballer lifestyle
-
26 is still young and if he’s on £40k a week that makes him very affordable A club can’t flip him at his age, but he’s a relatively cheap option given how much people rave about him Going to Saudi suggests he isn’t generating genuine interest from established leagues Unless he prefers Saudi because of big wages, rather than playing in a decent league for less money
-
Find it telling that Maxi’s going to Saudi at 26. If he was genuinely viewed as hot property, at his age a decent side in a decent league would have been in for him. It’s been clear he’s not part of Howe’s mid term plans so if clubs fancied him they would have acted. Especially for £30m.
-
His Lambo’s parked in Jesmond right now Worrying
-
Word from a senior member of the non-playing staff was that Maxi isn't a great trainer compared to the rest of the squad. He grafts less and can't wait to play 5 a side, cos he's amazing at it and no-one can get the ball off him. From what we saw last season he's working harder in games and there's definitely been less pissing and moaning amateur dramatics when something doesn't go his way, but for me he still stands out as a player who doesn't click with the system. He's flamboyant and a bit of an enigma, which seems at odds with what Howe wants from his players, so I can see why he'd be peddled.

Welcome to the Costa Del Tyneside. As someone who lives under the flight path in NE29 my routine when spotting a private jet overhead is: 1) check the tail, is it definitely a private jet or Loganair 2) private jet confirmed, go on flightradar to see where it departed from 3) compare location with players we’re linked with 4) if it aligns, prepare the Kleenex 5) tell mother it’s a “do not disturb” situation, I’m in my room having a nap 6) when finished “napping” post on here to explain plane sighting and transfer theory
-
I adore a bit of plane spot geekery as much as the next man who registers high on the autism spectrum, but really, just seeing a private jet flying in / out of Newcastle isn’t enough to cause even a mild twitch in the y-fronts. At the very least have a plausible reason why the flight departure / destination might be interesting to football transfer nerds. Then we can happily hunker down over Flightradar and do some serious radar perving.
