Newcastle United vs. Leeds United: 7/1/26 @ 20:15 (Sky Sports)

Cheaper than current ticketing with the current owner. They've yarked game by game ticket prices up by 25% in 2 seasons for no other reason than the fact that they could get away with it. East Stand, 2023/24 season against Arsenal. Ticket price £43. That same seat is £72 tonight. You do the math.- 270 replies

Club don't feel much financial effect of any of these tickets not being sold do they. They've already got the bulk of the money for each resale seat from the ST payment. So other than some empty seats on the telly it has minimal impact. -

Not having a pop at you because I think all ticket options are priced too high, but keep in mind that you're in a better position than a member who goes to every game and is paying a lot more over the course of the season. And they have no way of getting an ST. They're paying around £1200 for the cheapest possible tickets or £1400 for the East Stand and £1700 for the Milburn. Plus the cheapest options for cup games of £65 x 4 CL, £20 x 4 LC and £30 per game FAC. There's a massive outlay and unaffordable for many people. -
When they first started yapping about it what I heard was "are you looking forward to going on holiday, I love being in teens and I reckon there'll be loads of powder" And I was like "oi, oi, we've got a couple of Epsteins" And then I realised they were on about skiing.

Metro Radio need to do announcements all afternoon that there's over 300 tickets available for tonight. See if we can get them 300 resale seats filled.

Slightly over 300 tickets available. We might not even hit 50,000 tonight. -

And it's a minimum of £72 to sit in the East Stand or Milburn -

With very expensive tickets and icey pavements and a kick off time that means most people won't be in their jarmies until well after 11pm. -

There's tickets available in 90% of the ground. Wowzers. This is unprecedented in recent times. Maybe we need a smaller stadium, not a bigger one. -

The Fan Action Board were on the front foot arguing against the season ticket price rises during their meetings with the club, but they seem to have completely ignored any argument with the club about the game by game ticket price rises. -

Just go to your local old peoples home and watch it in silence in their TV room with some ice cubes in your underpants and socks plus an industrial sized fan blasting cold air into your face. Stand up and clap when you see Sean Longstaff, but other than that don't move your arse from your seat for the rest of the game. Make sure arms remain folded at all times. Same experience you'll have in the East Stand, but it'll save you the £72.- 270 replies

It’s why some of us love him. Especially me. He’s like the little deranged hermit living at the end of the garden of a posh house in the Victorian era. And I mean that as a complement.
-
Come on, just admit it, you couldn’t care less if Ole comes back and gets you relegated and pumped out of the FA Cup this weekend, as long as you get to sing that nice little At The Wheel song again.
-
Give him £200m to spend and if he makes it till the end of the season without getting sacked he’s done better with the money than Amorim or Ten Hag did
-
Yeah, but what you haven’t said is that the standard is so much lower at Man Utd these days that not being good enough before is actually good enough now so it makes complete sense to appoint someone who wasn’t good enough in the past. Or something like that.
-
They’ll not have a successful manager as long as Fergie is sat in the stands at every game tutting and shaking his head and casting a massive shadow over the dugout like the Ghost of Success Past Like having your lasses best ever shag sat at the end of the bed watching and tutting and shaking his head every time you do the nasty

whizz for getting the tickets, charlie to celebrate when I get the ticket
-
This is a really good point. If I tell someone I rarely miss a game, they assume I’ve got a season ticket. When I say I haven’t got one they say how come I’m so lucky in the ballot. And I say that I’ve won 1 x ballot in my last 40 applications and it was FUCKING BRADFORD. And they’re like “how the fuck do you get tickets for every game then ?” And then they just look totally bamboozled when I explain about gaming the genny queue and F5 fingerblasting etc And I say that’s how I’ve never failed to get ticket for a home game I wanted to go to. Which is most games. I’m a bit worried that people think I’m a weirdo.

Always keep in mind that the prevailing mentality of most NUFC fans is "Why aim for the stars when you can whinge about what falling into the gutter might look like"

Don't know how you can face having a Jewk. It must absolutely reek of makems, impossible to wash that stench away.

If designed well and layout is done properly, a new stadium can't be any more soulless than a sold out SJP on a cold night in January for a run of the mill game.
-
I might be wrong, but since the takeover I don't think we've had a run of so many home games on the bounce, with shitty kick off times, in January when people are skint and the weather is shite. It's bound to affect demand. And then there's the additional factors of expensive tickets, poor atmosphere, ballot etc etc.
-
I'd rather have a big stadium that sometimes has some empty seats, but everyone who wants to go can get a ticket rather than have a smaller stadium that's always full, but everyone who wants to go can't get in. And I'd rather have a bigger stadium if it means we can properly shake up the demographic of people in the stadium.
