Richarlison has only gone and blown his beans too early again, daft cunt

Camera scans the lower rows of two stands at Palace as a player starts to take a throw in and not a single fan is on their phone. No videoing, taking pics or scrolling. After abusing their absolutely shite pyro flashing lights display, I’ll doff my cap where it’s due.

By the same token, if you say every player is dogshit you’ll be right sometimes. And it’s a strategy that plenty of here deploy. -
With the way long throws and set piece routines have risen like an unwanted phoenix from the flames, there’s a strong possibility that we see teams reverting to the way George Graham and Mourinho approached games.

Pyro and flashing light displays before games should result in automatic and instant demotion to the lowest tier of the football pyramid

Kieran Trippier: to join Wolves on a free (various)

You only have to create enough chances to score more than the opposition. And if you’ve got a mean defence and ruthless attack, that means you don’t need to create many chances. And that can go on for many seasons and lead to much success and trophies. Hence the celebratory terrace chant “one nil, to the Arsenal” in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Or Mourinho and his treble winning Inter side. Then he took a low xG approach to Real and was successful there.

See this is where the stats are just daft. Villa have been on the rise for multiple seasons, comparing them to Forest is just naive. They’re in the position they’re in on merit, not luck. Villa have been doing excellent work to break into the established cartel stranglehold. They may not create many chances, but the chances they do create they take. That’s just called being clinical. George Graham’s Arsenal didn’t create many chances but they won loads of trophies over multiple seasons because they were defensively strong and clinical in attack. If you’ve got clinical goalscorers and a rock solid defence you don’t need to create many chances to win games.

That’s what I was saying, we don’t know where his ceiling is yet.

Also, we’re in the semi final of the league cup as defending champions and some daft cunts are saying the season is already a massive failure and unsalvageable The utter fucking morons

I think you’re reading too much into it. We got Tonali and then he got banned for a year. Which is probably why we got him. Trippier wanted to move to the North of England to keep his missus happy, then he got caught on his Ring camera taking lasses home to do the nasty. Isak has no loyalty to anything but himself, he couldn’t give a fuck about anything else.

I’m suffering more from the atrocious grammar and spelling in that post than I am from our current away form.

That’ll be 1 year after he’d turned us down

Indeedly doodly, you had a headstart but there wasn’t much in it in the grand scheme of things

Not dissimilar to us stinking out the league and nailed on for another relegation.

Couldn’t be arsed to check my dates on exactly when Emery joined, but the point I was making was they’d had 3 years of their current owners, when we were taken over. So they were slightly ahead of us in terms of both clubs having new ambitious owners. And we've both had our current managers for a similar length of time.

You’re a good side doing a good job and disrupting the established order. Same as us but you were starting from a better position than us when Emery joined in 2021. If at least both our sides (and hopefully others) can continue to bloody the noses of the established order every season then we might be getting somewhere in terms of breaking their stranglehold. You are absolutely not a fluke and I find it laughable that you’re compared to what Forest did last season.
