  1. Some facts: Score more than the opposing team and you win. Score the same as the opposing team and you draw. Score less than the opposing team and you lose. 3 points for a win. 1 point for a draw. 0 points for a loss. Play each opposing team in the league twice. More points you accumulate compared to opposing teams, the higher up the table you go. Team with the most points at the end of the season wins the league. Fuck xG.
  2. Only a matter of time until theres a stat with a fancy technical name that single male Lawrence Logic virgin nerds can use with great aplomb to demonstrate how many pointless stats were quoted during a match. Let’s provisionally call it xTwonk. We can’t possibly have lost that game because we created so many pointless stats over the 90 mins that we massively overperformed our xTwonk and that’s a far more insightful and important metric than goals scored, goals conceded and points accumulated.
  3. Football is just getting wanker and wanker with every hour of every day of every month. So much about it is just fucking contrived fake vapid soulless shite designed to entertain the simpletons waving their phones about seeking theatrical pantomime entertainment, give the stat nerds something to toss over because they can't get sexual partners and providing companies with a a lurid technicolour canvas on which to promote their products and services
  4. Fastest dancer competition on stage at The Stack hosted by DJ Onedek. With mandatory drug testing. Or some form of eligibility based on having had a membership for a minimum length of time and either how many ballots you’ve applied for / tickets you’ve bought if you don't ballot. This is just my assumption though, nothing specific was revealed.
  5. I think Howe's struggling because 3 x games per week plus travel means he can't utilise his natural approach - meticulous attention to detail and high quality training sessions. And too many players are struggling, through a mix of poor form / workload / confidence. Which is magnified because Howe is struggling. If Howe wants to step up into the tiny group of "global elite" managers, he needs to adapt his style to fit with the demands of Euro football. As uncomfortable as that may be for him. However, lest we forget, it's only his 2nd ever Euro campaign and it's proving to be a steep learning curve for him. But that's what it is, a learning curve. And look at the big picture, compare where we are now to where we were in Oct 2021 and the progress we've made in that time. So I'm relatively chilled that we're in the doldrums in the league right now. Our cup form is good, for starters. Life is just a series of peaks and troughs, and you don't know whether you're in a trough until you're climbing out, or on a peak until you're coming down.
  6. Just whilst we're on about tickets for the Makems... They said at the Ticketing Workshop that they'll be implementing member eligibility criteria to be able to buy tickets for the home game. But they also said they'd implemented member eligibility criteria for the Liverpool game, which I queried when they said it as I couldn't recall any communication about that.

Modern LB ? I’m late 40’s and have been watching football all my life and I can never remember a time when full backs were 6ft 7inch carthorses I love BDB. But he’s neither a modern nor a vintage LB
  8. Easiest way to remember: If the blinding light from the massive LED advertising boards is destroying your retinas then it’s the Etihad
  9. When the thin becomes the norm and the thick is the exception then the right man is no longer the right man. I’m not suggesting we’re at this point yet though.
  10. What if we win the Champs League and both cups but finish bottom half ?
