Need a piss at half time but there's a massive queue for the gents? Nee worries, just pop in the pitch-side pool

I mean who has ever wanted to go swimming in a football stadium.

Is it for use during football matches or for use the other six days a week that it’s not being used as a football stadium?

Although Khan has precedent for this, there is a pool at the Jaguars stadium in Jacksonville.

It's a pity we couldn't tear the stadium down and rebuild it in the same spot. There was something I heard about moving the pitch further up to create more room to extend the capacity. But if we did where would we play our home games?

Plenty of space in the St James Metro station apparently. Just play there.

  3. Some serious boomer energy in this thread over the last few pages.

I can’t imagine how y’all are going to react when we get really good and the tourists are coming out in droves.

It's much more bare. I haven't been since right before the SD signs came down, but it's basically food/drinks and toilets. Best concourse I can compare it to is an old school hockey barn.

I figured it probably felt pretty brutalist kind of energy? Seems like it.

I can only compare SJP with stadiums I've been in in the US. The US stadiums have much more indoor food / drink / merch opportunities ringing the entire inside of the stadium. In addition there are more levels of seats above the basic level with various lounges etc

This makes me want to hear the opinions of my American dudes who have been ( @Kanji @Ameritoon etc) - how do the facilities at SJP compare with say the Bucs or Lions stadiums? Or even baseball stadiums? As far as the experiences go. Is it a pretty stark difference in facilities when you walk in?

Totally agree. It's the perfect nursery pool for us IMO. Extra games but of a lower standard.

Away to FCwhothefuck in Europe are exactly the sorts of games where Lascelles, Longstaff, Murphy can get a game. Save the class lads for the bread and butter of the PL.

And class away trips for the supporters too.

someone on the right with some creativity and perhaps another midfielder other than Bruno who is comfortable on the ball, is required.

    Tonali fits both those requirements.

  8. Eddie really had these playing out of their fucking skins last year. I fear that this is more the level for a lot of them than what we saw last year.

I'm still down to give Eddie the summer rebuild though. We need some serious quality bodies in.

wey it’s far from perfect because there’s fuck all down there! the surrounding area would need some serious investment and regeneration.

I’d imagine it would get it right? And that’s great for the city.
