Absolutely. We can rest/leave Isak at home for cup matches, especially those early round ones like Cheltenham Town (A) and still have plenty of fire power. We need a squad. It’s what made two seasons ago so hard and as unsuccessful as it was.

I disagree but to each their own. A striking team of Isak, Wissa, and Muniz has a lot of goals in them. And depth, which is something we need.

I understand the emotional come down. I was stoked to be linked to Ekitike, obviously, but in reality the players that got us into the Champions League twice in the last three seasons have been the Dan Burns and Murphys and Halls of the squad as much as the Isaks. We have a manager that can really get the best out of people. I’m all for adding players like Wissa and Muinz to this squad and seeing what Eddie can get out of them.

The only reason they went for him is because he’s one of the best young goalkeepers on the planet and they had first choice if they wanted to bring him back. I’m pretty sure they would’ve just done the same last summer if we had made our move then.

Not sure what we could’ve done here to be totally honest. As soon as City came in it was game over and who’s to say they wouldn’t have just done it last summer too? They put these clauses in the contracts so they have a free run at doing exactly what they’ve done.
