  1. Sure he's not alone in the fact that he's gutted because Carroll got the #9 shirt.
  2. That's the main issue. Not offended by gay jokes in the slightest, but if you're gonna make jokes about him, at least think up some original and funny ones rather than the ones used for the past year. He's a player for Newcastle United and more importantly another human being. The "gay jokes" shouldn't stand, period. All it promotes is your own uncomfortableness with homosexuality and intense ignorance. Anyone who makes a gay joke at Xisco's expense needs to take a close look at themselves and try and figure out why they even feel the need.
  3. Just to give you an idea of what it might look like had we gone with Umbro and not had a stupid box for the sponser as well: http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/6766/umbrokit.jpg

    Dan Gosling

Nice to have another body in the squad.
  5. This is lush. I'd buy it. Even if nowt happens here I'll probably still buy that top from Nike and do something with it. Same. That top is just fucking gorgeous. Love the red color too, matches the city badge perfect.
  6. Wow that is some serious grasping at straws there.
  7. Like has been stated before, the US does really seem to have the most potential to be a dark horse to win the WC. It's the most popular sport under the age of 16 in the US but that is when everyone starts to drop out of playing because they don't see a future in it with big bucks like they do in baseball/football/basketball. A lot of kids in America will play two or three sports regularly (and in leagues) growing up but in high-school choose which one they will focus on and unfortunately it's not soccer as often as others. We also only have one great academy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMG_Soccer_Academy) in America while a large percentage of players who make it to the top flight of soccer in America spend their most developmental years (18-20something) at College rather than playing their trade at club level getting the proper kind of training. If the US could restructure how kids and young adults are trained and play soccer in the US we could really be a forced to be reckoned with. It's only a matter of time but may still take upwards of 50-100+ years.
  8. That polo looks pretty smart. Wonder if they're for sale?
  9. I thought after someone cleared up that "capital outlay" meant installments that this kind of argument would be over. There is money, but only enough to buy totally up front, that's all the letter said. Nothing more nothing less.

    Players in public

My roommate works at Sea World and Gerrard's name is on the VIP list today. He just saw him feed the stingrays (where my roommate works in the park).

Always thought Chris Lilley was a ringer for Ozil. http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/3992/svlilleynarrowweb300x48.jpg Ozil http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/8875/305036.png Chris Lilley
  12. That's pretty wrong, especially the last part. You can mass manufacture great beer, it just doesn't appeal to the masses.
  13. You guys are talking like Spain is already through. Paraguay has looked the better side in this match already. If they can keep the pressure up in the second half they'll win this.

    Luis Suárez

    Exactly. Ghana lost that match.
  15. Can't believe we couldn't beat Ghana.
  16. Absolutely love the Impact. Stoked for them to (hopefully) get the next MLS expansion.

  18. They got pretty nasty near the end, lots of kicking out, stray elbows, etc...
  19. I am somehow in the 99.9% percentile on the ESPN World Cup brackets.
