  1. By Premier League standards aye, which is my main worry, however, he can find a position to score. Just has to be seen if he can do it in a league better than League 1/Championship quality. Having no pace makes us very easy to defend against, teams can push up and squeeze us in the middle of the park where we have poor quality ball players and thus we lose the ball easily. Happened a lot in the season we went down. Only really Routledge and at a push Jonas with any pace in what i'd imagine our starting XI to be next season. Are people's opinions that Lovenkrands is too much of a gamble up front in the Premiership? I would rather he played than we signed Boyd tbh. Would rather have Lovenkrands playing instead of Boyd as well. At least Lovenkrands has some pace to burn.
  2. Had the same thought, well, at least in the beginning of the first half.
  3. All about the money. Shocking lack of ambition. No offense to any African posters on here but when you're from a country like the Ivory Coast, sometimes it is in fact all about money. Playing football is your job and you're trying to elevate your status in life and that of your family - not about how many shiny medals you can put in a glass case in your house or how many papers have your name in them.
  4. as things look right now Real are gonna have to dance with the Devil to usurp Barca - Real have just spent however many 100's millions and had their most successful ever points season in the league and couldn't stop them Barca have just signed Villa and looking at Fabregas, they're settled with players and staff at the moment and show no signs of letting up in the hunt for trophy's Real will take Mourinho just to stop a period of Barca dominance if you ask me What the club want and what the fans want may be two different things and the fans will ultimately have the power to oust Mourinho if he doesn't give them what they want.
  5. Those really look like the cheap mockups you get from Thailand on ebay. It might look something similar to those but I doubt it will look as cheap/iron-onish.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idLG6jh23yE get stoked.
  7. Would certainly fit the signing-scheme of Hughton. Looks a bit like Simpson, Routledge, Best, Hall.... That's racist.
  8. I like it. I'm not too keen on the blue though. the only reason that it's actually blue on here is because when I inverted the colors from the other kit (with red trim) it came out that blue color and I couldn't be bothered to try and fix it. How did you uplaod your image? Mine looked tiny when i did it (no cock jokes please) I used the imageshack uploader where you reply. Then you just copy the "direct link" and put it in your reply between the image tags.
  9. Glad to see Mancini come in and not immediately go after a lot of foreign imports and actually try to get some of the established talent already in the league.

  11. Was really pushing for Australia in the last cup only to see them knocked out by such a horrific Italian dive. Absolute shit.

  13. Wouldn't surprise me. They sign everyone that I want us to sign (for the most part).
  14. The blog on ESPNSoccernet that I read yesterday almost made me care about what is happening in Spain.
  15. I see that happening a f***ing lot lately, refs should be more mindful. That and the stutter step when taking a pen, which I always thought was against the rules. Even if it's not, it's still douchey as hell.
  16. The whole new range of Puma stuff is meant to look like boxing stuff on purpose.
  17. Somehow yes, is it the orange? It's because it's always just a solid color. They don't really fuck around with it at all. Absolutely loved the not-so-long-ago one that was just like an orange polo. this one: http://www.soccerphile.com/soccerphile/wc2006/groups/im/NED_01.gif
  18. Really love Fulham and hope they can pull this out.
  19. 80%+ I reckon he'd have to get injured not to be on the plane to SA.
  20. Some of the assumptions in this thread are -tastic.
  21. The media are going to have a field day with this. They see the supporters all riled up about the statement and now they can just publish shit-stirring non-sense and know they won't get a response from the club. It's going to be a fun summer - at least we have the WC to distract us for a month or so.
  22. Thats the way I read it too Many are panicking way too soon. All will be well.... My feelings exactly.
  23. General opinion is that Rooney is doing it in a far inferior team. At least that's my opinion anyway. The other side of that coin is that Drogba is standing out in a much better team. Being the best of a bad bunch of being the best of a good bunch?
