Lovenkrands really pulls defenders with his pace and movement which is going to be really useful against Boro.

That was my favorite part too.

The most underrated player in the Prem by a country mile. That dude is priceless for Liverpool. Players like him and Kuyt are the sole reason Torres and Gerrard can have the freedom to do what they do. He also chips in with his fair share of goals.
-
Should've been off after two yellow-card worthy challenges in the first 10 minutes.
-
Would love to see the back of him. Stoke would be the perfect place for a pos like him.

Bring him in for a striker's coach role?

Did you actually watch any Man Utd games last season? Giggs was a class above a lot of the opposition he played against. He created a top five goal totally on his own by skinning two players in quick succession. He's still got it man and is a model professional.
-
Hmm, nah. Scholes and Neville are fans and Giggs has remained an important player right up until now. I don't think any of that's relevant to the point I'm making though. For example, Beckham was also a Man United fan. That wasn't Beckham's choice. What point are you making? That Neville, Scholes, Giggs and co should have put in transfer requests when they started playing less regularly? No not at all, I've never suggested that, have I. Players don't ever only leave clubs by submitting transfer requests. It's a wider point, I just think too many of the English players are settled in their comfort zone in this country, compared to other nations. That's a weird point to make if you ask me. Why move when you're playing for arguably the worlds biggest club, in the most popular league, and are regularly playing the likes of Barca/Inter/et. al in the Champions League? I can understand if you stay at say Wigan your entire career being stuck in a "comfort zone" but if you're playing the best you can for a club like Man Utd why would you even contemplate moving? Just for a change of scenery? Not worth it.

Why? Always good to see the mirror kissers miss out, thats why. Love to see the Liverpool fans loyalty after 50+ years of no trophies and up and down between the leagues. Something tells me their attendances would be more like the Smoggies than even the Makems standard. But ahead of the Mackems getting relegated? Come on man. If they get relegated that means we miss out another season with a derby. At least if they're in the Prem next season we'll have two proper derby matches.

Not that I think Zurab was the best choice, but Enrique went off injured.

He's got pace and he's direct, I'd like to see what he can do in this division because I think he could be a decent enough footballer. We'll never see that in the reserves and I think he'd give us some much needed balance when going forward. We've virtually played the full season so far with one wing so we don't spread the game enough. Even though we have a left winger we're too narrow because we have little or no option on the right. If we spread the game when going forwards we'll create more room through the middle and give the opposition something to think about, his pace alone will do that. Watching the reserves isn't the best indication of how a player will do when called up into the first team. He has something and I'd like to see if he can make the grade rather than watching players who will never do it on the wing. I think he meant "please explain" because Lua Lua is not at the club at the moment.

He scored 12 one season in the PL. Anything is possible.
-
This time next year, Shearer will be at the helm (for better or for worse).
-
His save near the end was out of this world.

Yes please.

Two of my favorite faces in football are SAF and Rafa's "we just lost" faces.

Maybe Hughton was keeping Shola on the bench with an eye on Sunday (maybe the same with Guthrie?). Same thing with Simpson?
-
He's supposed to have played very well along with Taylor according to Moncur. Considering the midfield stopped after the first 20 mins they did ok really. A lot of our defensive frailties have more to do with the midfield than our defenders. We have two great CBs and one okay DM and one really shit, ginger CM.

Oh look, Carroll in a fight shocker.

what the fuck is up with these subs?

Listening on the radio is so hard sometimes. There was a big lull and "OH HAREWOOD HAS SCORED" - there's no build-up.
