Ah yeah, remember that now. The timing was strange. Same as the Liverpool comments really - it's all for the benefit of his team. Not sure what it accomplishes though.
-
I still think we're going to sign one more (maybe even 2), but you're probably much closer to reality.
-
Thought the 3rd made no sense since the 31st is a Friday. Next week is going to be awesome (read: excruciating).

Jury's still very much out on Arsenal's new lads as well, especially in terms of replacing arguably the two most important players in their team last year. lmao, just lmao. They sold a s*** midfielder in song and got rid of a wantaway captain. Podolski is the obvious big question mark, but Carzola and Girourd both look up for it, Girourd should have buried his chance but had a howler. Think its time you laid off the strong cheese. What in the?

They are playing each other - not surprising in the least. It's all about motivating his own team. He said Man U would win the title last year, Mancini likes to talk s*** Not defending Mancini or anything, but it's not exactly talking shit considering that team came within minutes of actually doing so.

Just watched both videos. Incredible. No idea which one is the best.

This has to be the fastest Comcast has ever moved on a new channel.

He's an absolute nutcase. Love him.
-
Has to be considered job done, especially with another (important) game in less than 48 hours.
-
But he's gone the day after the season, right? Hope not. I would assume so. The problem is bigger than the manager though.
-
Can only see Rodgers getting sacked if they are flirting with relegation. I get the impression they have bought into Rodgers' plan. Valentine still has a job because a) it wouldn't accomplish much at this point b) the players need to be held accountable c) Lucchino would be admitting that Cherington was right and he's probably not ready to give him that power.

It's the best city in the world. Just go.

I agree that it's fucked up, but for those that aren't aware this is a pretty common practice in American sports. The one difference is there are usually prospects sent in the other direction. Example: Team A sends primary player to Team B and agrees to cover $7m of the $9m remaining on his contract. Team B sends two young prospects to Team A in return. There's never any rule about not being able to play against the old team. This better be the case here as well.

Me too, and it feels dirty but certainly for our benefit in the long run.

Says he hopes to "be ready to play against PSG on september 2." What he really means is he hopes to be ready to play against Aston Villa on September 2.

No difference to any other game. Man Utd will finish above both us and Everton so I'd rather old Purple Nose had taken the points. I'm just saying I'm not really concerned about any results other than our own at this stage of the season - Spurs could win at Everton, we could beat Man Utd at home again, whatever. 37 games left yet. Same goes for Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool getting beat, I'm not really fussed either way at this point. I'm the exact opposite. I watch every game from week one wondering how it will impact us and rooting for the appropriate team. A stressful way of going about things, but I can't help it.

This thread is going to be awesome when we finally sign him.
-
Looks like I could have that made for a few dollars. Cheap as fuck.
-
I hope QPR get relegated and disappear into oblivion. Really don't like them.
-
Feel dirty rooting for Man Utd. Not sure if it's because I have headphones in, but the atmosphere sounds fantastic.

Yup, the chance Giroud had is one RvP would have put away last season. All it takes is a couple wins turning into draws like the opener and they'll be out of the top 4.

Or a thread for discussion about other clubs similar to the other clubs transfers thread, except it would only be English football since there are threads for La Liga, Serie A, MLS, etc.?
