I'm relatively happy with how things are, but I wouldn't be opposed to scrapping the League Cup and giving the FA Cup winner a CL place.
-
This is becoming far too common.

No, I weren't. I don't know about Nut, but I'm not making fun of you. I genuinely enjoyed it. I like the stream of consciousness posts. Anyway, I haven't seen much of Debuchy so don't have much to say. Sounds exciting though. Hazard's not happening.

I doubt Cole could pick out Pardew in a 30000 crowd so they probably said hello. Moot point anyway, the question is who at lille is being watched? Most likely Mathieu Debuchy. Could also be Aurélien Chedjou or Dimitri Payet. Or youngster Lucas Digne? But he has only started 8 games for Lille in the league this season. Idrissa Gueye? 21 games played (11 from the start), defensive midfielder and 21 years old. Doubt it's Eden Hazard. It's most likely Mathieu Debuchy. I've no idea why this post made me titter so much. It's like he answered the question, thinks out loud for a bit, then reconfirms his first instinct...Bingo. I was going to say something similar. Love it.

I'm optimistic that with the time off we're going to see a different Ba against Stoke. The good Ba.

I could see this scenario unfolding... We finish 4th in dramatic fashion on the last day of the season. The board crashes amidst the delirium. We make some great summer signings. Excitement for next season is like nothing seen in the last decade-plus. We draw Valencia in the CL qualifying round. Lose 3-0 away and draw 1-1 at home. Out of the CL in two games. Dream over. Back to reality. More likely I think we'll finish 5th, which would be a remarkable achievement.

The reaction to that post is why I stuck to an American based NUFC board for quite awhile. I love this place.

He's definitely getting more comfortable. Great to see.

Anyone that doesn't want to see us play in Europe is just bonkers. I've been wondering a couple things recently about the CL and haven't asked for fear of a jinx or something, but fuck it. Might as well enjoy thinking about it while it's possible. Does anyone know how much money you get if you play in the CL qualifier and lose? I know the group stage is the lucrative part. Also, does it fall during Ramadan?

Dont feel it made a difference to the game at Swans. But today it did. He is frustrated hasnt scored in a while. Stoke comes next and he loves scoring against them. Think the Ferguson > Ba sub at Swansea changed the game entirely. Put us back in control. Didn't like his attitude the whole game today and the minor incident with Pardew is not acceptable behavior. I think a quiet word from Pardew could sort things out though. Plus, and I say this with no knowledge of the team's training schedule during such a long layoff, but I would give Ba a solid 4-5 days off - no football, no running, no lifting. Just syrup and relaxation. Think it would do him a lot of good mentally and physically.

I think it's being slightly pessimistic (from our perspective) to mark Chelsea down for 18 pts.
-
It's pretty clear he has some skill too. He plays nice, crisp passes along the ground when we're kicking it around. When it comes to Williamson he starts his juggling routine.
-
And as much as I like him, if we keep winning but he's unhappy just because he's not the center of attention then we can find someone else. (Not saying he is, btw.)

Makes it all even more impressive... http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php

Had a good plan from the start and when they started pressing more early in the 2nd half he made a sub that completely changed the game. Plus the fact that our new resident mackem hates him makes me like him even more.
-
It should be, but that's not how this club rolls. We'll probably scrape a 2-1 win. Would love a 5 or 6-0 with Ba getting a couple. I'd also be good with him not playing at all (maybe a late sub if needed) to rest.

How are the rules not officially published yet? It's April. Reeks of them writing them to fit whatever is in their best interest.

Very assured performance. Don't even remember a nervy moment.

Think the whole back four have been very good. Yes, that includes Danny Simpson.

Might be the understatement of the century.

Long 2 months though.

Ferguson for Ba changed the game for us.
