Aye. Think folk are absolutely in denial and quite frankly fucking ignorant if they're not factoring that Isak fuckery into this season like.
-
The Isak debacle - depending on what version of events you believe. The facts though - are that we said we weren't selling him then sold him last minute when the season had started...
-
Aye he was one of our bottom 3 for me...albeit now I am starting to query whether I have a significant bias.

I don't think it is. Ramsdale was okay tonight, the back four were okay. Bruno was ok. Sandro was ok. Ramsay was anonymous, Murphy played some dangerous balls in, Gordon was ineffective and so was Woltemade. It was our creative outlets that let us down. Without training passages of play and strategisinghow to break teams down, we are reliant upon innovation and ingenuity and our forward men aren't providing that in the same way Cunha, Mbuemo et al are. Because we lack creativity it impacts all other elements of our play as players such as Bruno often end up trying to do more or too much - which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.

Just Eddie defending his players (I hope). He's right to do so. More flies with sugar than shite and all that. He does need to drop him though.

What about missing the target from 10 yards in the last two games, placing countless balls into the keepers hands and cutting inside and running into congested dead ends. Sure, our midfield hasn't been as effective as of late, but one common theme throughout the whole season has been that when our wingers perform we win. We aren't winning enough because our attacking outlets, I.e. our wingers aren't performing well enough. Our attacking play was enhanced by our our full backs when they returned. Tino is now out and Miley has been a somewhat decent replacement there to make up numbers as an additional midfielder in a similar vein to Hall (who was our MotM today). But all of our wingers have been underperforming this season - and I say that as someone who heavily supports Murphy.

Needs to sack Gordon off and play Barnes and Murphy consistently for a spell.

Gutierrez vs West Ham and that celebration. Sends shivers down my spine - every time. Sometimes the quality of goals means more than the simply the quality taken to score them. He stuck it to the cunts ruining our club at the time and put his name firmly in the list of legends that have played for us - during a time when many simply didn't deserve any adulation. Superhero.

I think he's right. The vast majority of Geordies I know have this attitude to life too. I love it. I think it makes Geordies unique (on the whole).

"...Geordies have a unique outlook on life and it's one that I would recommend to anybody. Positive - even in difficult moments, and always believing that there's something better around the corner." 🥰🥰🥰

I shall revert to sharing your exact opinion

This is what happened. Cause Ritchie had to put him straight at Brentford iirc and he then learned that he wasn't as shit hot as he thought then after that summer he came back like shit off a stick for a year before getting in his own head.

Ye would say that you were a CF

Good game today I thought aside from his horrific miss

This is a massive overreaction of the tackle like.

I genuinely don't believe contact is made by the leg before the shoulder like - at the very worst it's simultaneous. I just think it's one of those where if you don't get it you're raging but then if we had have got it they would have been. Had it not have been simultaneous (or shoulder first) then I'd be in absolute agreement with everyone but for me the shoulder charge comes at the same time.
-
I love football being a contact sport. Initial contact is not below the waist, he steps across the front of his left leg with his right (no contact) and uses his shoulder to connect with Gordon's shoulder - all of which is legal. The element that is under question is whether he uses excessive force and is legitimately playing the ball, as I see it. I honestly don't think half of yohlu would say it was a pen had the shoe been on the other foot.
-
So long as it's controlled, playing the ball and shoulder to shoulder, aye. I think what you're now describing would effectively make football a non contact sport. You will rarely see players initiate contact via a shoulder charge and then not consequently connect via the rest of their body. I can see why people feel it's a penalty and that is the excessive force, to a lesser degree I understand the angle element - but I personally don't feel people are being honest if they'd say the same was a pen at the other end. I just don't think it's that blatantly obvious that folk are making out.

It doesn't though that's the thing
