Never a red card BTW. Lifting.

Fuck off Man United

Aye. I think when we're playing "our" game then he's targeted I.e. the high press etc. Because he's easier to isolate and take advantage of 1 vs 1 situations where wingers can drive into the space or accelerate past. However, sitting in I think he's absolutely fine, as defensively he's as good as anyone in that squad. That's why for me, against Marseille, I wouldn't be adverse to having him back there, if the plan is to counter attack (for me) as it should be.

I can see your logic, for sure. Especially if that's his position. I just think Burns experience and leadership has proven to be massive for us when he's played and perhaps offers more to the team in other elements that Murphy likely won't. Pros and cons I guess. Kids not gonna get experience unless he's given chances. Dan Burn has been somewhat undroppable though for a long, long time - so can see why he'd have been preferred.
-
I mean - Burn is limited going forward, so it's fair to suggest it impacts our style of play. I'm not sure Alex Murphy is legimately our next best option at LB though. Nor do I think it's fair to suggest his babysitting of Burn is why he's (Joelintons) been poor. Given that our wingers (excluding Murphy) have been largely shite too. We have also had similar mobility issues impacting our attacking play on the right when Trippier has played there. I don't mind admitting Burn is exposed at LB and isn't a LB but I'm yet to see any obvious alternatives that would definitely have worked in Halls absence. For me, with consideration of a world cup on the horizon for both Tino and Hall, I think Howe is right to not rush them back from a man management perspective and given our fixtures for the next 6-8weeks, it was likely the mid-to-long term solution for managing the squad.

I'm of the view that you just put it on the penalty spot when you have a team of our height and physicality. I think you can be guilty of over engineering "the perfect corner" aiming to put it too specifically one one players head and rather it'd be better for players to simply attack the ball. Perhaps I'm simple though

Inters record versus Milan this last couple of years must be wank.

Yeah that's a pen like But meh. Fuck em.

Felt like a mix of relief that we'd finally get what we deserved from our performance and surprise that we'd finally beat Man City. I tend to go wilder if I feel we've been done a disservice and when I read the media questioning our team or coaching staff I absolutely love it when we ram it back down their throats.
-
Wouldn't surprise me to see a 5 at the back scenario with Burn LB and Murphy RB. I'd probably swap Ramsay with Joelinton and then have Woltemade up top with dare I say it Elanga in a 532. Means we can sit in and hit them on the break with Elangas pace and Woltemades ability to hold the play up gives us an outlet. Realistically a draw there would be a very good point.

Aye I ended up between the seats like.

I think my negative take on the same fixtures would likely have had his with ay least 5 more points on it, and that's me being negative. We're capable of winning every single one of those games though

FORZA NERAZZURI @Curva Sud Milano 😘😂 Io scherzo un po...ovviamente
-
On Sky the presenter just said "If Arsenal beat Chelsea next week there may be a feeling that this is close to over". Ridiculous.

What impressed me in the game today was when he legged it back and defended. Never really had him down as that player, having not watched loads of him, presumptuous perhaps as I always seen him as a flair player, but he just looked outstanding today and demonstrated all the qualities I'd like to see of Gordon (and we previously have seen of Gordon). The main difference is the attitude, presently.

Thanks for the feedback chaps. Have shared. -
I mean it's theoretical only but if he was on our left instead of Gordon I think we'd have been fairly lethal this season. Even if we'd signed him instead of Wissa at this stage. Of course easy to say after he's just got a hat trick like. Just think Howe would work great with someone like Eze.

Just seen an advert on Irish Sky for Uber Eats - Pardew, Pulis and Allardyce. Pardew says "Oh just had a nightmare. Stoke, away, on a Wednesday night" Then not sure what Pulis replies but Allardyce just says "Fajita?" Cringed and thought how much have you bastards made from being shite
-
That's a massive compliment I think
-
The thing is it's all well and good buying talented young players but they need to be coached well. That's the difference with say Tino and Hall for Newcastle. Howe had managed them expertly.

Milan derby next ⬛🟦

Absolutely sick of seeing players roll around like. Just know our lot will be doing it versus the SMBs too. Would far rather we were showing how tough we were and kicking them aal owa.
-
Aye it was literally just washed away Even they Spurs fans were (understanbly( just like "Yay."
-
I mean that prediction is pretty darn negative and miserable like no offence.

Is it not because the opportunity to score has actually been performed I.e. of the ball goes in they wouldn't give the penalty? I know that's not the rules, but that'd make sense, somewhat.
