Cheers mate. Very kind of you.

Longstaff is a steady PL player. Many will tell you otherwise but he has good positional sense, a massive work rate and does the basics fairly well. He wont ever tear up the place and do owt extravagant buy there's no need for that if you have those types around him. Seems a good kid in the dressing room and a real work horse. He'll be decent for you at your current level.

This is a good point and as a result have taken my score down to a 6.

Aye - Probably is the one club city thing and also the fact we're Northern. Hope yous stay up personally

@Davyccmay I say that I respect Leeds as a club. There is always "bite" in our fixtures with your lot and they're always well contested both on and off the pitch, but respect shown before, during and after. Proper club.

So trying to look at the squad... GK: Improved - removed some hangers on and brought in some better competition for #1 RB: Maintained - Tino, Trippier, Krafth CB: Improved - Our strongest position with 3 capable pairings at various levels. Burn & Schar, Thiaw and Botman, Lascelles & Krafth LB: Maintained - Hall, Tino, Trippier, Burn CM: Improved - Bruno, Joelinton, Tonali, Miley, Ramsay & Willock RW: Improved - Murphy & Elanga LW: Maintained - Gordon & Barnes ST: Maintained - Reduced ability but increased strength in depth, more options. I think the concern for me in terms of whether the summer has been a success is the actions of Isak, his agent and the club. I'm not sure where that leaves individual players, their camaraderie and team spirit, and I am pretty sure it will have taken its toll on The King. Just have to hope they're all seething and pulling together in the face of adversity and have to also do the same on their behalf. 7.

7.21 for me. Just cause I'm slightly more positive than @midds

It's a football forum it's what happens. It isn't bollocks that folk have wanted Isak sold. Anyone saying it is, is deluded. Folk haven't wanted us to bend over and be shafted by Liverpool and it appears we have, at this stage. However, it is convenient to not consider developing key factors and not at least consider why we may have finally taken this decision at this stage. There is nothing wrong with attempting to review the positives and negatives to further understand or formulate an opinion on whether this is a good or bad move. That's what we should all do. History dictates that the decisions undertaken by the management of the club have been (in the majority) nothing but positive for us to date. Therefore, I choose to back them not berate them, in what has been an incredibly difficult circumstance.

Isak has forced the clubs hand somewhat here. It's a sad indictment that footballers have too much power in the game. A depreciating asset that holds all the cards. I personally do not believe we have done this with any great ease and suspect that from both a footballing and financial point of view this decision has been made. Bad apple ousted and pockets lined. Attempt to calm the storm with a signing or two tomorrow and then let positivity reign. That's all we can do. There's nothing to suggest we have done otherwise under this management to date. It fucks me off. Don't get me wrong. I just think there are positives to take and we NEED to take them.

TBH like half the forum have been saying we should sell at all costs and then when we do they whinge. Bizarre. There's time left in the window and all fo our previous dealings suggest we can get the best out of other players and signings. It's annoying as fuck and I too will be right pissed off if we don't bring in others tomorrow but this is all on Isak and Liverpool not our ownership or the coaching staff. Hopefully this is the bad apple ousted and a chance to look positively on next steps.

Well we'll have to wait and see I guess. We're all speculating. I personally just don't see the point in folk going "all in" on the club and owners when it's "ifs, buts and maybes". Even if we do sell without a replacement - whilst I won't personally agree with it - there are arguments for it - as have been documented by many a poster on this forum in recent days.
