  1. The journalists are laughable - change the record man. Ask about the opposition, the fixture, the new season, the squad, formations, tactics, strategy. Just trying to agitate a slip up and he's already proven not to do that. Howe never says owt controversial and yet every game week I find myself clinging onto his every word. He's the king man. Bout time the media started reporting his supremacy as a man manager in English football.
  2. On which page did this debacle start? (For the record- I'm not searching- cause I don't actually care that much. But go on...you're now more curious than I am.)
  3. Maybe this is all a massive ploy to create a siege mentality for the season and when Isak comes back we'll be like a caged animal, unleashed for the first time.
  4. If we don't sign a striker we will need Isak. Even if we do we will likely need Isak (unless we sign 2 decent strikers). So for me it makes sense to channel our aggression and anger against Liverpool and the fact that they expect us to bawl over and just succumb to their "champion" status. Siege mentality, get at them, get amongst them, get into them and as you say Eddie will sort Isak from there. Of all the people we should back it's Eddie he's been superb from start to finish in his role and the way he's handled this situation has been exemplary thus far.
  5. There's been much discussion had and still ongoing. Very tough for us to get this one right in all honesty.
  6. I was saying similar the other day to some friends. The whole transfer window and debacle of not only Isak but Wissa and Guehi and Sesko and others all just feels very protracted and drawn out and it because FFP and other restraints are essentially holding clubs back. Players being empowered to disrespect the business they’re paid healthily by to represent and forgetting how that impacts the fans.
  7. Thing is it's a story and a gift that keeps giving for journalists and social media sycophants. I'm sick of this whole scenario tbh. It's all just a bit minging. Imagine being told you're sticking in your role and going nowhere without any route out. That's minging tbf. Not saying I disagree like - Isak knew that when he brokered his deal in the first place (or his agent/informants did). Then just footballers acting the way they are, Isak, Wissa, etc. Like so much disrespect towards the people who are developing them as colleagues and mentors, that's without the whole fan-dom around football as well and considering the fact that working folk spend their hard-earned, idolising these fuckers. The media acting like leeches, again somewhat understandably but just revelling in the misery they're creating for whole swaithes of supporters whom are keen to see their team finally compete against a seemingly unreachable elite sitting comfy at the table on the glass ceiling above "the rest", only for the ladders to be removed and a potential trap door open from underneath as they try to reach the heavy heights above. Just shite man. Really hope we use this anger for good on Monday and not putting all our energy into fucking Isak. Wasted energy that is now.

It's actually perfect in terms of setting our stall out, I think. Irrespective of the result, I think the occasion is set up to be a real backs to the wall, unifying display that says to the world - "you will not divide and conquer Newcastle United." If we win it'll likely have the same confidence boost as the Mackems just had but at a higher level. Especially if we're Isak-less...
  11. Interesting stat but feel he'd always be up against it today and last year he'd hired others' problems. Be interesting to see where they are after 5 or 6 games.

CB is the strongest position in the squad in terms of strength of depth. Currently Burn and Schar cannot be dropped based on performance.

SMBs wearing their shirts walking around Whitley Bay for no other reason than to be antagonistic Alreet chaps, you won your first top flight game in like 9 years against a shite West Ham outfit...
  14. Fuck the agents, fuck the journalists spinning bullshit stories, fuck the snide tactics of the scousers, fuck negativity. New season. New hope. Same Newcastle. Get into them.
  15. Watched his pre-match presser and just further evidence of why he is the absolute king.
  16. Sorry mate just seen this and it may be a struggle to arrange now. Can maybe sort at the Lockwood cup or another week?
  17. That's all the majority of them have been doing for weeks now, makes it feel all the less valid/reliable.
  18. Would love us to beat them at home and then Isak to come out and say he's staying.
  19. Just a generic statement about the transfer window - but it's absolutely vile. The best analogy(?) I can think of is that Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: All those outside the 'big 6' are Harry and his pals trying to get the important prophecy (player) and trying to bring them back and protect their careers making their own future better in the process, then as the 'big 6' stroll in like Liverpool's very own Lucius Malfslot - pretending they're really just a nice guy with their best interests at heart, but secretly a wolf in sheep's clothing - all the shit prophecies made by all the media clingers on and tosspot agents come crashing around them as they waltz around football thinking they can simply take what they want. Well expelliamus you daft cunts. The sooner the window is done the better and we can get back to football. Transfer windows with PSR and the big 6 and elitist football is wank.
