    Hull...Protest?

Bit over-exaggerated but I can kind of see where you're coming from. To say it was all Keegans doing this last 15 years is a bit extreme. Think you have Sir Bob and a few others to think of tbh....not just King Kev.

In my eyes that statement by TU about Keegan and shite was pretty piss poor. I'm passionate about the Toon Ultras and what they aim to achieve, but I think in this case we've done nothing to help ourselves. Hence why I posted a new article on the front page.

  5. Fair points, and aye...definately include SBR in that. Like Edd said, it's probably because most of my memorable moments are Shearer related due to my age.
  6. What do you mean dare you say it not even Shearer? Shearer will never be as loved as Keegan is. Might just be different generations, but Shearer means more to me than Keegan. Get out of town. I can't believe you're questioning that TBH. If you are 20 or under then at best you have a vague memory of 1 or 2 seasons under Keegan, but you spent the whole of your formative teenage years cheering on Shearer. Of course for a lot of fans Shearer is more loved than Keegan. And importantly that applies to younger players too. *BTW I have no idea how old heza09 is, just voicing my opinion I'm 18 mate. Thing is Shearer is our record goalscorer at the club, and in the Premiership. I don't see how it was such a stupid thign to say no matter what age I am....?

  9. Ashley paid off, what £150 mil of debt? I thin kthats a pretty serious situation for starters. & Ok, we havent spent a lot, goes without saying, but we still manage to have, what looks like, the best squad we have had a few years now qouldnt you agree? Yes, but everybody else has a better squad than they had a few years ago. We'll still finish in the same place with the squad we have and all the disruption. Just because clubs sign more people doesn't mean they are necessarily better. Robinho might not be the answer for Citeh, Modric might not be the answer for Spuds, etc, etc. Our signings have shown as much promise as any of the others in the PL so far tbh...
  10. In all honesty.... The signings we have made appear to be top notch signings, for relatively cheap prices. Obviously we cannot judge too much atm but like so far they have been class, especially spiderman. If Wise is making these sort of signings, Ashley is saving this money, our debts are wiped ( ? )...do we really have anything to complain about the new regime as of yet? If Keegan didn't like their plans in a way it's tough shite. We'll have someone who does fit into their plans. No one man is bigger than our club, dare I say it not even Shearer. I know this will spark a lot of debate....I just think that even though I too believe we are far from having everything fine and dandy, we are hardly in a crisis and therefore am most likely not going to be protesting, or at least not as extravagantly as a lot of others will be. Anyhooo.....
  11. I too am struggling to understand all this hatred. Personally, I'm more bothered about backing the team, and getting 3 points. If we get a good manager and then win something or do well no-one will care about any of this. If this had have happened at the same stage of last year would anyone be complaining as much? Or is it just because it's Keegan?
  12. Tbf I think Role Model and Elliottman are right. WTF sort of a difference is boycotting the Hull game gonna make? Everyone has already paid for their tickets, that's assuming they are ST holders. Do you really think Ashley will give a toss if no-one is there? No. He's got his money at the end of the day. The players will give a toss though, they'll be thinking "f***ing hell why did I come here?" They will care even more when they lose and problems become more intense as well! It would just show us to be even more dumb if we didn't turn up when we paid for our tickets already. Also, this Spurs game alot of people paid for their ST last eyar so get the cup games free this year, don't know why people would want to give up the chance of seeing the team they love for free. So that's out of the question for me too. Boycotting is just stupid. It's like what FC United have done in a way. Just because times might get financially hard at your club you f*** off away from them?!? We are supposed to be "the loyalist football supporters, the world has ever had" now it's time to prove it!!!!
  13. Nee point in marching imo. Can protest at the ground, if that's really what you desire. Think people should just go to the game and back the lads tbh..

    Hull...Protest?

So they would probably join in with any attempt of a 'Stand Up For Keegan', if that resembles what the majority want.... Looks like it's going to be a normal matchday then....

    Hull...Protest?

You are? Yeah, I am. Still unsure what to think, my main concern is to back the lads, but at the same time I think it's right that people vice their opinions, just to give the board and/or Ashley a bit of a wake up call....

    Hull...Protest?

That's not what I suggested. Hang fire and wait until you get more sensible, practical ideas. Bin the s*** ideas, reset the votes to zero and give people a few votes so they're not limited to just picking one course of action. Capiche? I tell you what...you sort it out when you think the time is right. I'll handle the TU lot on our site...

Tomorrow at 9ish we can stop the voting in here and i'll make a new one with the 3 most popular choices...

Just because we did now thten doesn't mean we shouldn't now, people learn from their mistakes and sometimes it's a case of wear and tear. I reckon wear and tear is what is is this time with this situation being the straw that broke the camels back....2 Wrongs don't make a right. It's not really a wrong tbh, Keegan wouldn't accept the club's plan for safeguarding the future of the club. I fail to see why people are getting so angry towards someone doing something in the best interests of the club in the long-term [yes, I'm aware he has a financial interest in this, but without his $$$ we'd have been racing Northern Rock to go bust first]. If Keegan, who has historically insisted on being the centre of attention, didn't want to lower his level of personal glory in order to let the club move forward then he had no option but to walk away...again. Ashley's biggest mistake was appointing him in the first place, although part of me understands why he did it at the time (feelgood factor, etc). Sadly he may be forced out before the long-term effects are felt and, more importantly, appreciated by the fans who are acting so impatiently now. You raise good points. Like i've said a few times in various threads, I am pretty much sitting on the fence about it all until we see what sort of success we get under new leadership (i.e. a new manager). I still understand why so many people are pissed off though... Says how stupid you are when Keegan resigns you buy your travel for an away game. Says it all about how much we love our club....
