  1. Is it not "Just got to get out of this place" Petty I know but I've been so p*ssed off recently with "We love Newcastle...we do" It's "We love you Newcastle....we do " you clems!. Agree with you re your second point, but best just gloss over the first bit eh?
  2. Ah man, The Animals, "We Gotta Get Out of This Place" over the closing titles... The greatest band to come from the North East...I'm getting quite emotional here
  3. You should have heard Jason Cunty on Talkshite at ten o clock, reckoned we should be ashamed at probably finishing second . I know they are the radio equivalent of clickbait but...
  4. Missed the match, due to backshift. Just finished watching the recording. On my eighth pint of quality home brew. Fuckin get the fuck in!!!!
  5. Well that was some entertainment
  6. Washington was more Nufc than Safc when I lived there; not sure what it's like since The City of Sunderland annexed it and droves of Mackems took refuge in The Galleries every weekend to save on utility bills. Washington Village is equidistant between Newcastle and Sunderland and Newcastle is far easier to get to by public transport. Absolutely gets my goat every time when Washington is referred to as part of Sunderland. When I was primary school age Sunderland may as well have been on Mars as far as Washington residents were concerned, there were miles of fields between the two and there was a single bus service which took for ever. The bus service to Newcastle was great, started and finished in Cincord. Rant over. This is the truth. My dad's side of the family are all from Washington and although there's a few dodgy accents in there, they and most of their mates are solid Newcastle. And that's going back to the pre war era, because my dad was middle aged when they had me and I'm in my 50s. When I used to spend a lot of time with my cousins and uncles in the early 70s, it was unheard of to go to Sunderland for shopping, nights out etc and football was included in this. Washington was more linked to Gateshead than Sunderland in those days.
  7. South Shields is mainly a mackem area and further up the tyne you go the less mackem supporters you find, so you do get some in Jarrow. No way is South Shields mainly a mackem area like, at the very worst its 50/50 To keep it simple just assume everyone South of The Tyne is a mackem. We can forgive the folk in Gateshead because they're connected via the Tyne Bridge amongst others. Saves all the bickering. A lot of our most dedicated supporters are from South of the Tyne mind. Exactly. Some of us had to endure many a school yard kicking because of our black n white allegiance. Give up south Tyneside to the makems and we're the size of Middlesbrough.
  8. Agreed. His movement, physique and demeanour are all of a Sunday morning player in his 40s. Astonishing to think that Cristiano Ronaldo is older than him.
  9. QFT. I've been saying this for weeks at work: ok we've been shite lately, but Huddersfield have not been any better and they need to be much better to make up the points gap.
  10. Yeah. It was a double 'b' side.. Mediocre at best.
  11. Now that's quite bizarre. Both goals from Pritchard off the woodwork, then off the keeper's back.
  12. Already scored two more than that Derby side. [Obligatory mention that they scored 3 of their 20 against us] Don't forget picking up more than a quarter of their points total against us. Big Fat Sham , football genius.
  13. Spot on Dave. Especially your first point, no need to drop Mbemba and Mitro after Fridays decent performance. Not like they've been playing week in week out.
  14. Well at least we won't have to worry about the embarrassing stadium of shite plane thing..
  15. Exactly. And we'll get a similar return from our last four games. That'll be enough folks.
  16. He came on from the east stand and was giving the w***** sign when he was walked off past the gallowgate it looked like he took a few digs from the blokes in the strawberry corner Him and another lad, who I assume was his mate and came out with him when he was thrown out, got a right hiding outside the Gallowgate afterwards. Pretty safe to say they'll be spending the night in the RVI. The stewards foolishly tried to take him out through the Strawberry Corner which resulted in loads of people running down to give him a kicking but he was pretty well protected by a wall of stewards around him. Unfortunately for him the stewards were totally overpowered by Newcastle fans once outside and, well let's just say he'll be sore for a long time to come and I doubt will pull a stunt like that again in a hurry! Don't normally agree with this sort of mob justice but, fuck him.
  17. Was spitting at some of wor lot, according to a mate of mine who was sat close by. Leeds apparently, fuck knows how he got down to the pitch.
  18. This is what is likely to happen, been saying it all week at work to the panickers. Tonight was obviously our most difficult game, we now play four teams with their minds on a tropical beach.
  19. I've supported this team for forty five years now and there's only the knackers who only played a handful of games, yer Fumacas etc who are worse. Absolute waste of a shirt, literally better off with ten men.
  20. Could still get pretty tight yet. Stop being so negative, nothing is wrong, everything is fine. Come on man, we were literally seconds away from everyone being delighted by that performance. We were bloody excellent. This. I'm taking much more positives from this one, we were by far the better team. The usual suspects fucked up in their usual way.
  21. I'm not fuckin joking. easy there bigfella. i share the sentiment Sorry should have added lol. Too tense....
