  1. Naa, just you. Naaa won't be man, just im not scared to say it
  2. Surprised he wasn't tbh. The ref's probably clocked it for later though. Senseless.

    David Squires

With the one raised eyebrow as well Suggests to me Squires has spent a lot of time looping that scene...(cough)
  4. You all seem to be making the assumption that everything will be back to normal covid-wise next season. I reckon the government will make a fuck up of the post lockdown opening up. Also there will be enough people who refuse the vaccine to create a cluster fuck where we'll be back to square one by next Christmas, causing football to be played behind closed doors once again.
  5. Hang on. Did he say this or is it satire? Pretty much word for word...
  6. I was there, the Newcastle comment went unnoticed, certainly with the people around me, who all had a whale of a time. Sunderland wasn't quite so insular in those days, in my opinion. And the gig itself was much better than how it gets reported - even to this day you hear people mocking the Glass Spider tour - it was extravagantly theatrical Bowie, come on!
  7. The internet has been won. Too right! The Pitt's family from Cramlington off Cutting Edge. Anyone not seen this, it's on YouTube. Makes the makem Micks look like royalty
  8. As others who were around in those days have already said, he was a cultured defender when there wasn't many of them about in the English game. Also more than just steadied the ship as our manager after the disastrous Souness era. RIP Glenn, a great servant to the club and a genuinely good man.
  9. Absolutely ridiculous if this happens. It's the price you pay for not being able to make tough decisions. Bruce doesn't want to upset Karl, and when we lose Dubs, he can argue Darlow kept his shirt through form. Of course as a club we'll be worse off, but Brewcey will have avoided the discomfort of actually making a decision. Exactly this. The only way Dubs gets back in is if Darlow is injured or is sent-off.
  10. What this time? I don't disagree with every word he says but its this bee in his bonnet regarding Benitez, sly digs without mentioning his name really again. The usual digs at Rafa's style, claiming that the fans would rather see Bruce's team play on the front foot. The daft look of indignation on his face as he was saying it, as if it was self evident
  11. I wouldn't be surprised if that poison dwarf Wise has still got Ashley's ear .

    Kevin Keegan

Quite simply, the buzz created by the club...or rather what KK did for the club....made Newcastle the best city in the country from 1992 to 1997. It was just a fantastic time to be in your early 20s...going to the matches, watching NUFC be the club that they should always be and then out on the town for class nights out on the lash (anothing thing about the city that has drastically gone downhill since those halcyon days). Kevin Keegan is THE reason why NUFC still gets big headlines. The buzz and media frenzy he created for the club still refuses to go away simply because of how potent it was back then. Great post! Watching NUFC be the club that they should always be... Kevin Keegan made it possible.
  13. It absolutely should be up for debate. So you’re advocating someone making a joke online leading to police consequences? That’s ridiculous. A legit death threat addressed to a person fair enough, but he hasn’t reported it to the police. I actively hope Mike Ashley dies, that’s not a death threat, and it’s not illegal and not should it be. If him and Farage dropped dead tomorrow world would be way better off. OTT reactions like this will get civil liberties taken away Imagine how much better off we'd all be if when Farage was in that plane crash, his plane had hit Ashley's helicopter on the way down.

    Sunderland

Forever bleating on that they're a big(ger) club, yet simultaneously cry-arsing at the total lack of interest in their plight. The mackem paradox. A marradox Excellent! I'm using that.

    Sunderland

Absolutely hilarious, typical makems. Remember the Mick's not only shared a name, but also a pair of trainers Can't remember which thread had all their exploits in, but it would be worth revisiting.
  16. This. Darlow has done much better than anyone could have foreseen, but Dubravka has been (mostly) excellent since he arrived here.
  17. Is this true?? Miles Starforth posted earlier. Oh my God Noticed the Steve's also overdoing things on the touchline moreso than ever before Pathetic. Now Palace are back in it, watch him bring Jones back down to the touchline for the second half.
  18. Jesus Christ, looking at Hodgson there, he'll be the next old national treasure to pass away today.

    Rafa Benítez

Look at the state of him. Bet he hangs out with Wayne Lineker and Pardew. And if you didn't already hate him, he gets to bang Suzannah Reed in his spare time as well. It wasn't Jordan who was banging Reid, it was current Palace chairman Steve Parish. Lucky bastad.
  20. That's cos he's got a square head. And he's not that good, just relatively skillful for a big lump. I quite like him. I don’t think he is as good as his fee suggests but he definitely isn’t as bad as people think were making out at the start of the season. I agree, some went overboard earlier on when Man U were struggling, but I think he's not top level England/ good Man U team material.
