  1. Oh I’ve got sausage fingers and make mistakes but it’s pretty obvious when someone has made a typo. Like I said, it’s not difficult to learn three different words and when they’re used. I always struggled with the to thing until I thought ‘why don’t I look that up’.
  2. Hes talkin bout them englishes, us forrins / imigants can say how we like It's just ... such a stupid hill to die on. Pedantic stick-in-the-muddery of the highest order. No one ever sees that shit and thinks "wow nitpicking spelling is a good and useful contribution to a conversation " they just start fantasizing about stealing their lunch money. No-ones on any hill. If you can’t differentiate when to use there, their and they’re or to, too and two then you shouldn’t be fucking typing. If you seriously can’t then ‘do your own research’ and fucking google it. Jesus Christ people defending this shit man.
  3. It’s not pretentious at all, it’s pretty basic stuff. It is pretentious. Online chat is a substitute for face to face chat. Nobody's labouring over letters to be read on your morning walk of the grounds. If you spot the error you are clearly capable of understanding the intent. So just get on with it. It’s not. Typos fair enough but in a country where people are telling immigrants to ‘speak English’, then it it’s not too much to expect that the natives can write using the basics of English.
  4. I can’t understand how some are saying it’s obstruction. In the amount of space he covered in the dive he could’ve walked round the bloke.
  5. Nah, that might’ve normally resulted in Carroll moaning for a pen but would’ve been waved away.
  6. The Tottenham box is a special box Fair play to Jose on his comments
  7. I have a lot of sympathy for the refs in this. Quite happy to return to goalie tech and that’s it
  8. Joe Linton Staggering stuff. Both have been decent tbf Don't waste your time man

  10. What did he say? Mustoe doing the same on NBCSN
  11. Darlow had to make 3 saves inside the first 10 mins. Really impressed with Darlow so far
  12. But it's obvious that you didn't know it was Staveley's husband. Jesus, it's been in the news and all over Toon websites for about a hundred years. Do you not feel a little bit silly/embarrassed? I’m sure he’s devastated and will never haunt these boards again
  13. Not picking on Stifler (much), but I do wish the whole "getting the ball before the player = no foul" misconception would finally fucking die. It's simply not in the Laws of the Game. Determining whether a foul occurred or not is all about evaluating whether the contact between the players is one of the types of contact the Laws prohibit and, if so, whether it was done in a manner that was "careless" (in which case it's a foul), "reckless" (foul and a yellow card) or using "excessive force" (foul and a red card). See Law 12 As a ref (mostly youth, but up to U19), parents, coaches and players baying "but he got the ball" while another kid is left writhing on the ground due to ham-handed way the tackle was done, is one of the most frustrating things we have to deal with. A reasonable point but at that level if he’d got the ball first it wasn’t a pen. He hardly recklessly challenged him. Unfortunately he didn’t get the ball first soooo
  14. Yet the referee had a clear line of sight and only gave a yellow. He only gave a red when instructed too. And people still defend referee’s. Like the people who defend mothers who ban people from ovens
