We can lock this one then.

Feyenoord 4 - 2 @j@x That's more to do with the fact that Vertonghen has got no one half decent partnering him than anything else. Van Der Wiel is constantly injured too. If those two go in summer they're in trouble.
-
If he leaves Ajax it will probably be for a club in the Champions League, he's fucking fantastic. How Belgium haven't qualified for the Euros with him and Kompany at the back is beyond me. Possibly too similar to Coloccini but the negatives outweigh the positives. He's the type of player that could make a goal line clearance at one end, then blast in a Shearer like free-kick at the other, he's that fucking good.

Just spunk £10m on Vertonghen ffs. We wouldn't regret it.

Krul Simpson Williamson Colo Santon Ben Arfa Guthrie Vuckic Jonas Shola Best Never happen like.

PSG and City agree 37m euro fee for Tevez.

Alreet colin! Colin is claiming Erdinc is at the training ground for what its worth, which isn't alot.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Shola was OK. Not good by any means, but he did the target man s*** well, and that's something I don't often rate him for, given he should win so much more in the air with his height. I thought the ball stuck to him well, and he got rid of the ball to one of the attacking midfielders. He still failed miserably when he tried to do anything on the ball, and didn't chase anyone down, so he's definitely no higher than a 6, but I don't agree with the 3s etc. He became very lazy towards the end of the game but I think he was just generally exhausted an we didn't have any fit strikers on the bench. Decent shift aside from that.

Krul 7 Simpson 6 Williamson 7 Coloccini 8 Santon 8 Raylor 7 Cabaye n/a Guthrie 8 Jonas 6.5 Best 7.5 Shola 6 Ben Arfa 7 Perch 6 Gosling 6 Comfortable win, we never really had to do much as QPR had zero cutting edge throughout and generally looked like a poor Championship team. Santon was very impressive, Guthrie was composed and efficient in possession and Ben Arfa looked very bright when he came on. The goal should give Best a lot of confidence, but we desperately need another striker in the long term.

Huge opportunity to steal a march on Liverpool now. Have to win.

Shaqiri would be fucking epic. No chance like.

Would be a very good foil for Ba, he's relatively pacy and strong and is decent in front of goal. He hasn't been given the opportunities this year at PSG but he would certainly be an excellent addition to the side. Krul Simpson Williamson Colo Santon Ben Arfa Tiote Cabaye Jonas Erdinc Ba

100% spot on.

Newcastle need to complain about this. Unacceptable that this cretin is allowed to keep making such statements.

They aren't though, yes they've got a lot of money, but their biggest signing has been Pastore. Admittedly they payed a fair whack, but they're top of Ligue 1 and have retained much of the squad they had last season. If they sign Ba, they would at the very least after sell Hoarau, who is very similar to Ba but doesn't get the playing time as PSG prefer to play it on the deck. Yes if they offered £20m plus it is possible, but I can't see it in the immediate future. Pastore who cost more than pretty much the same as all of the other transfers in France put together? I'm not even a Ligue 1 fan but it's s*** as f*** seeing team just spunk their way to success man, especialy when the league has been a closish run thing the last 2/3 years. That's what is funny though, they've bought a lot of players, Menez, Gamiero, Pastore, Sissoko and Matuidi etc, but they have no fluidity about them at all. That's in part because these guys don't all speak the same language, but also because some of them are quite selfish, Menez and Pastore were quite big fish in their respective ponds, but now they're supposed to be equal components (I know the latter cost more) in the team. Menez has been in terrific form recently though. Its Gameiro and Pastore that have struggled the most in the last couple of months.

He did but is it any different to City paying x amount for whoever they wish. They've signed Gameiro from Lorient, Matuidi from St Etienne and Menez (who was struggling at Roma). Add to that a GK that was needed because of Coupet retiring, and Milan Bisevac a defender from Valenciennes who is used in rotation. To sum up, aside from Pastore, who by all accounts is still adapting to the league, they've hardly broke the bank.
