  1. That's very interesting indeed. Defender winking after the other team have just scored, don't think we've heard the last of this. The Dutch are doing their collective nuts over it.
  2. PSG probably going out unless they can do a Lyon.
  3. Sad thing is this won't teach pundits like Tyldesly and the rest to stop completing disrespecting lesser known foreign teams like they've done throughout the game tonight.
  4. Really happy for Basel, play decent football and its meant to be a real nice place as well. Gutted for Ajax, they were robbed against Madrid, but that Lyon result is just mental and a little bit pathetic from Zagreb.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Ineffective today. Was expecting more after a couple of decent performances, needs time though.
  6. Maybe something like this. Krul Perch Colo/Kadar Santon Simpson Raylor Obertan Cabaye Jonas Ba Best Actually that looks fucking awful Krul Simpson Perch Colo/Kadar Santon (please) Jonas Guthrie Cabaye Ben Arfa Best Ba
  7. Krul 9 - Tremendous throughout. Fantastic penalty save. Simpson 5 - Didn't have a great game, but better than our other full back. S.Taylor 6.5 - Typical solid showing, absolutely gutted if he is out for the season. Coloccini 6 - Normal composed self up until the injury. R. Taylor 2 - Abysmal, catastrophic, desperate. He can no longer dine out on being occasionally being good at free kicks. Cabaye can take free-kicks, has to be dropped, but the injury to the CBs will probably save him. Obertan 5 - No end product. Guthrie 5.5 - I do like Guthrie, competitive midfield player who gives us a lot of drive, but he was overrun in midfield, as was Cabaye, still that was more down to the system and Raylor disappearing into another dimension every time Sturridge got the ball. Aside from that he showed some decent flashes. Cabaye 6 - Same as Guthrie, but I was impressed by Cabaye's delivery from corners. Lovenkrands 5.5 - Did ok first half, but was anonymous in the 2nd. Ben Arfa 5 - Ineffective, obviously didn't get an opportunity when the game was more open. Ba 7 - Very good shift, really deserved a goal. Shola 7 - Unfortunate not to score. Perch 6.5 - Poor for the first goal, very good for the rest of the game. Sammy 6 - Not a wide player, but did ok and was unlucky not to score on the rebound from Shola's effort that hit the bar. Tactics were wrong, referee shite, Chelsea cheating, time wasting cunts. Have to move on quickly and bounce back at Norwich.
  8. Germany to win it, Spain to disappoint, England out in the group stages.
  9. Loads of Man U fans in my office at work, will be on the wind up with them all in the morning. Though obviously not as much because of the Speed news.

    Sunderland...

That goal is still brilliantly funny.
  11. Utterly stunned by this. RIP
  12. Early signings of say Maiga & Clyne would go along way to showing we intend to build on what we got not just sit with our hands under our arses. I could sway some to stay. I also think we should start making roads to sign Cahill, even if Bolton refuse this winter, at least start getting in to his head were a possible destination for him. Completely agree, would love us to gazump everyone and sign Cahill. I understand Ashley's position of making the club of wanting to make the club as financially viable as possible and I even sort of get the stadium rebranding thing (though the Sports Direct Arena is still a f***ing awful name), but surely as a football owner you would like to be known as someone who helped the club return to the world's top club competition, rather than just someone who was a bit controversial but balanced the books.
  13. The more we continue to compete on the pitch, the less likely we are to lose players. Why would the likes of Tiote and Coloccini leave at the moment when they have just as much chance of CL football as they do with Chelsea. Take the p*ss if you will, but I think if we get a result against Chelsea then there is a good chance that we could pull it off. Of course this is me being very optimistic, but surely there has to come a point, say if we get to January still in the top 4, when Ashley & co must see that it is smarter to invest a little more in the team to secure CL football. Which will be worth a lot more to the club than player sales in the long run.
  14. That Rochina should be at a better club than Blackburn like, decent player.
  15. Happy for Martinez, not sure about him as a manager but thoroughly likeable bloke.

    La Liga

Real 6 points clear now, Clasico is soon, should be interesting. You know until it descends into its inevitable farce.
  17. Defoe has been fantastic this season.
  18. Aye, apart from the Rooney stuff. He should have been booked for that.
