Krul 9 - Excellent throughout. Don't think there is a keeper in the PL in better form. Simpson 7 - Had the odd moment where he went to sleep a bit, but overall he did well and that goal line clearance was outstanding. S.Taylor - 7.5 Slightly at fault for their goal, but on the whole a very good display. Coloccini 8 - Running out of superlatives for this man. Superb yet again. R.Taylor 6.5 - Still think Santon should start in his place, but he did ok today. Obertan 7 - Did well, got in behind the defence quite regularly, end product still lacking slightly. Guthrie 7 - Will never replace Tiote but is proving to be an effective stopgap at the moment. Cabaye 7.5 - Awesome, battling display, dominated in midfield in the periods when we were on top. Jonas 5 - Off day for him, even before the red card. Ben Arfa 7.5 - Very good performance, sexy ball for Ba in the the 1st half. Nice surge into the box to win the penalty, and had a go at that prick Rooney Ba 7 - Kept his cool under immense pressure to slot home the penalty. Decent shift aside from that. Sammy 5 - Any impact he could have had was minimalised by Jonas' sending off Perch 6 - Decent cameo. Lovenkrands - Not really on long enough for a rating, but still managed to enrage me at one point by f***ing up when trying to play the ball out of play off a Man U player, in the end he lost the ball and that led to a Man U chance.

Krul 7 - Rarely tested. Did well when he was. Simpson 7 - Brilliant today against Baines and Drenthe until he switched flanks, one mistake was his marking on Rodwell for their goal. S. Taylor 7.5 - Solid and composed throughout. Coloccini 8 - One of the best CBs in the league imo, exudes class everytime he touches the ball, never panicked once. R. Taylor 8 - Wonderful technique for the goal, and defended excellently throughout. Marveaux 5 - Looked decent until the injury, hope its nothing serious. Guthrie 8.5 - Some of his passing and vision is first class, has helped minimize the loss of Tiote even if it is still noticeable. Cabaye 6 - Seemed to be sitting a bit deeper and letting Guthrie go forward more. Hopefully fit for City. Jonas 8 - Yet again another inspired defensive performance. Best 6 - Decent shift but not much in the way of chances. Ba 6.5 - Same as Best but offered a little more in terms of linking attack and defence and hold up play. Gosling 7 - Surprisingly good performance, competitive in midfield and was key to us not conceding an equaliser. Sammy 6 - A bit erratic, but full of running which certainly helped us in the closing stages. Ben Arfa 6.5 - Looked a lot better in terms of keeping hold of possession, thought he was gonna go all the way when he went on that weaving run towards the end.

They're miles ahead of any of the idiots on BBC or ITV in terms of football and overall sports coverage. People complain about Sky getting rights to sporting events, but they get them because they're better than anyone else, the Cricket commentary/punditry team in particular are very good. Sky don't do anything spectacular but they do it to a good standard, whereas the BBC always just seems amateur (with the exception of F1) and ITV always seem to manage to cock it up (see Eng v USA and Everton v Liverpool FA Cup)

We've closed them down excellently, Cabaye and Guthrie have controlled midfield, Obertan causing them all sorts of problems and Ba top class. Could be more to be honest.

I would have been more furious if we'd lost 2-0 in normal time, the comeback just re-emphasizes the point that there is a great team spirit within the camp. We are very difficult to beat and have a never say die attitude that will serve us well throughout the season.
