They really are the tightest bastards in the world if they need persuading to pay an extra £500,000 on top of what we got for Enrique for an international left back. FFS.

Well, Molineux looks daft.
-
Norwich will be the one that have a Hull/Blackpool type season imo.
-
Marseille denied a blatant penalty for handball.
-
Needs to make a decision, no doubt Carr will be recommending Cissokho, but he's now seen Pieters in person. Think we'll be getting a decent player either way like.

Pretty fair analysis from Wearside, our best chance aside from the Larsson save and the goal was the Gosling chance which he should have buried.

Going to this
-
PSG unconvincing but edge out a 2-1 win. Montpellier batter Rennes 4-0 to go top.
-
PSG 2-1 up now. Very fortuitous penalty. Nene slams it home.

Not sure if ESPN show a few, I rely mainly on streams.

Thought we might as well have a thread seen as the vast majority of our signings come from there. Been watching PSG v Valenciennes. 1-1 at the minute, lovely finish from Gameiro for PSG, but they can't defend for toffee.

I don't think its that, the French league is decent and Sochaux are a good side, but they don't have the fans to fill a stadium that is much smaller than ours. When a player such as Maiga is offered the chance to sign for a club that is the size of ours in England with passionate fans and a large stadium its no surprise that they try to force a move. So a year down the line, if someone like Chelsea come in for him, and he tries to force a move, you would understand? I'd understand it but I wouldn't be happy, just like I'm sure Sochaux fans aren't happy, we've experienced something similar with Enrique imo. Obviously he didn't go on strike but he was after that move to Liverpool for a good few months.

I don't like it, but this is the business of football today and this is just how most players are. I've no doubt we've talked to him and turned his head, it's ugly but we're playing the game just like everybody else. Precisely, its the way business is done these days, unfortunately.

That should be that then.
-
Typical Allardyce football, no pace, a couple of big men upfront, midfield gets completely outdone by a side with creativity and pace. Leeds should have won that.

We'll see him on Thursday imo.

Can we carry on with the feel good factor agree a fee and get this guy signed please.

Cabaye having a go at Bardsley
-
Game of the day on Football First.

Cabaye was brilliant today, Krul looked like a top international keeper.
