Savage and Barton will have a radio show when Joey retires.

Superb defending that break from Van Persie, if he stays as composed as he was today throughout the season we'll have a very good CB partnership.
-
Aye he was brilliant today.
-
Krul 6 - Solid. Did what he had to when asked. Simpson 5 - Struggled for me today, still doesn't show players down the line as much as he should. S. Taylor 6.5 - The odd mistake, but did well overall. Colo 8 - Outstanding, superb in every department today. R. Taylor 5.5 - Had difficulty handling Gervinho but I think he did ok on the whole. Barton 6.5 - Decent enough, but showed how much we need him out there, gets under the skins of opposition teams big time. Tiote 7 - Not his best game, but he did lots of covering for both full backs when Arsenal counter attacked. Cabaye 6 - Should have scored, still a tidy game and looked sexy as fuck in that shirt. Jonas 6 - Didn't take people on as much as I'd have liked, but kept possession well as he always does. Shola 5 - Decent shift with not much service and decent hold up play. Ba 5 - See Shola but slightly more active. Subs Obertan 6 - That run to beat Sagna to the ball Looked lively and will definitely have an impact against lesser teams. Best 5 - Busy enough, should really start ahead of Shola if we're gonna play 4-4-2 Lovenkrands 5 - Pointless sub, why was he on the bench ahead of Vuckic? Pardew 6 - Decent first game back, the Obertan sub was the right move, will be interesting to see what he goes with for the derby. Hopefully Pieters will be signed and ready to go by then.

Where is Marveaux?

Happy with that but would have preferred to see Vuckic in behind Ba.

I don't think it is a case of players not wanting to play for us, I think it is more a case of the foreign lads wanting to further their careers and seeing that isn't going to happen at Newcastle. Its different with the likes of Barton and Simpson as I think they know Newcastle is the best they're ever going to get. Nolan of course was completely different and I'm still puzzled as to why he joined West Ham when he had at least 1 good year left in the PL.

Can't for a single moment see how this fella is good enough to play for NUFC. I can only assume he fitted into Ashleys 'cheap as f***' remit. Exactly. Cheap, average player to be our third choice striker. I accept that were we challenging near the top of the league then he'd be nowhere near the squad, but as we are a midtable side with an owner who is far from likely to spend good money on a quality striker he's decent enough to stay on the books. The cheap thing does also come into it, obviously.

Good stuff Said it before that he gets far too much stick off some people. Far from a great footballer, but his hold up play is generally good, he's a decent finisher and terrific penalty taker. Useful player who can do a job for us if we want to compete in all 3 competitions this season.

This Leeds-Bradford game is class. 2-1 Bradford at the minute, the police will have a job on after this.

Get out of our club chants at Leeds

Aye! I also see that the Mail are still mentioning Erdinç.... The Erdinc one still has some way to go imo. He played like 10 minutes on Saturday for PSG and its difficult to see where he fits into the their side, especially if they keep spending.
-
Man U mate of mine says he's nowhere near as bad as people make out, great on the counter attack but liable to the odd error of judgement.
-
That squad is so fucking shit
-
PSG lose 1-0.

MsiDouglas Mark Douglas @nicknufc Hope to get a steer in the next 48 hours. Increasing confidence at NUFC

Guthrie is a decent player but it only shows when he's playing next to someone like Tiote. Against Villa away partnered with Colo our midfield was shite, against Man United at Home our midfield played pretty well and a lot of that was down to Guthrie's distribution and the fact Tiote was destroying anyone that came near him. His days may well be numbered here because of the likes of Gosling, Vuckic and Abeid but at the very least he doesn't deserve the dishonour of being mentioned in the same breath as Smith.

f*** sake, Osvaldo would be perfect for us. He's out of your reach, €20m is the reported asking price. No surprise, going to be a top player.

Fuck sake, Osvaldo would be perfect for us.

Bought your membership yet I have not, forgot about this membership bollocks. Might not bother then, 2pm kick-off would be pushing it I think. Not too fussed about going in the Leeds end but would much rather be with Toon fans if I'm gonna go. I would advise against that, Leeds fans are some of the biggest c***s to ever exist. Though your a very intelligent lad so I can't see yourself causing a riot. Been to Elland Road a fair bit like, worst I've seen it was a JPT match against Bradford a few years back, went with a few City supporting mates, no idea why. Riot police at the ground, got on the train back where opposing fans started kicking off. Was the night that Keegan left us IIRC.
