I always had a feeling he'd be 'solid' at worst. He looked good for Bolton, and he was keeping experienced players like McCann out of the team at times.
-
Yeah, we need a fresh young sprog who doesn't need to iron his face every morning.
-
I agree completely. The stick he's got has been a tad harsh iyam. Although according to Kinnear he couldn't hit a barn door. If we sell Xisco in January I will be so incredibly annoyed.

Harper wants a game of football? Get him to come to the football meet up!
-
If Owen does stay, it'll be because no-one else will take him on the wages that he's asking for.

This. And it goes without saying that Warnock >>>>> John Arne Clarissa

Viduka either should be starting or not in the squad at all. He takes time to impose himself on a game, meaning that a 20 minute cameo doesn't really do much. However Ameobi proved he can do a job off the bench by coming on and doing a great job of holding the ball in the corner flag, not to mention a good assist for the third goal.

Yes, I know he did. I was merely being sarcastic.
-
He scored today, but went off after 79 minutes.
-
Dropped my five to a four.

Aye best player for WH again today. Love the way he's always at it...Won't let the defenders rest. Did Terry bring him down for a pen? Dont think so? But Terry struggled with him, and got damn how quick bellamy is. He got great accelaration + pace, and he runs at everything. I'm sure Ade Akinbiyi scored at Stamford Bridge this season... sign him up Joe!

N-O Football Match - Red v Blue @ 10:30 on 18/05/19 @ Dunston Powerleague

Safe to say I will not be joining you for post match drinks - I found out today that I have an exam on the afternoon of the 12th! -
I saw Tamas Kadar last week, he was coming out of Amici's in Benton.
-
In fact, this game basically confirmed to me how totally fucked Portsmouth are when Defoe and Crouch have off days.

I think he'll be wanting a long-term deal, if possible. A 2 year deal takes him to 31 when he's free to sign for another club and he won't get 100k/week from anyone at that age and for any length of time. Sign a 4 year deal now and he's done with the club at 33 after collecting 100k/week for 8 years. Pretty sweet deal if money's a priority for him. There's still a good chance that he'll stay. I think he knows that no other club are as desperate (?) as we are and none are also willing to accommodate him to the extent that we are (the chopper, for example). He's captain here. He's wanted, needed even. He's guaranteed a first-team place, lots of money and the club has potential if we can sort out this mess. Villa play a different style, Everton can't pay his wages, Spurs play one up front and have got two expensive strikers and City seem to have set their sights on a different tier of talent. I just don't know where else he'd go because the top 4 are even less likely to sign him. He's smart so he'll consider what other clubs have to offer and I expect that he won't sign a contract with anyone soon. We at Everton offer an alternate resource to money - pies. Stephen Carr for shock return?

Working well provided we at the very least mix it up, but really should be playing close to 80% of balls along the floor. Long ball is OK for these two in small doses provided it's a measured, accurate defence-splitting pass (see Geremi vs Stoke) and not just a howk from the CB.
-
Anyway I thought he was excellent when he came on today, chasing balls down the touchline and keeping them in the corner - and setting up Guthrie too. Well done Shola.
-
I remember he took 2 at Old Trafford on the opening weekend - Martins scored one and planted the other just over. Then we let Milner, Duff and Geremi start doing them. Baffling.
-
For once, Kinnear got his subs right! And tbh I think Martins only went off because he looked like he had a knock. Shola was mint when he came on.

No, that sounds great. Better give it a week or so and ensure everyone is OK with it - in fact we should bold the names of each person on the OP when they confirm the 11th evening is ok. -

Imagine NE5's post match interview. "I asked the referee why he didn't award Rich a pen... he still hasn't answered my question, how would he feel about four different tackles from three different directions and two claims from the team? PS I hate Mick." -

No! And I think, Mick, you should bring NE5 with you. Maybe try and work out your differences?, then if not we'll tie him to the goalframe and blast the balls at him.
