  1. Think it'll be tough regardless so no complaints at the lineup. Hopefully we can use Elanga's pace.
  2. 14 goals in 262 premier league appearances for A Traore btw if anyone was wondering. Yes a lot will be as sub but howay
  3. He's bobbins. There's a reason they only signed him on a deal til the end of the season. Without having looked I'd be willing to bet he'll have the worst goal/assist numbers out of any other wide player to clock up a similar number of PL appearances.

    Passing, shooting? Nah.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Under strengths, you've put "left back". That's just your job, though. Under weaknesses...
  6. Got a feeling it'll be a competitive open game that we'll put our all into, play alright and come out with a narrow defeat. 2-1.
  7. Not sure, I was just told they're not continuing as shirt sponsor as it stands.
  8. Been told sela are away in the summer. Still a small chance we do a one year stub extension with them as we haven't got a contingency plan sorted yet, but as it stands we're walking towards a cliff edge with no shirt sponsor.

Just off to get my eyes tested, as I'm sure I just saw that £25m rated future England international Dan Neeyul has joined Ipswich on loan.
  10. I'm sure they asked Eddie about this a while ago when we had the injury crisis in the last CL campaign and he said something like he wasn't one to hand out debuts for the sake of it. Only times it's bugged me is for example; when we were 3-0 down in a game away to Everton and you had a clearly fucked Isak running about during 10 minutes added time and he refused to throw one of the kids on. Not from a development point of view but the game is over, just chuck a body on to save a senior players legs but he still wouldn't do it. You'd imagine Neave will get a run eventually if he's good enough so we'll see.
  11. The old adage about raffles & tickets comes to mind. Even if we aren't super adept at shooting from distance like some of the Villa lot we might get a deflection for a corner or a goal, even a keeper error. Miley at Everton the perfect example. We seem content to sling crosses into nobody a lot of the time and turn the ball over that way, so I don't see why shooting is seen as such a huge risk in comparison.
  12. PSG will be rough IMO. Just got to hope we can claw something from the game. It's one where we'll defend first & counter rather than need to take the game to them and that probably suits us a bit. But then he's got about the best chance in 30 years to fuck the Anfield hoodoo off. Given how crap they've been lately it'll be frustrating if we roll over for our usual simple dusting in that one. City, I think it's too big a mountain to climb but we shall see. Couldn't really blame him if we lost all three tbh.

Don't see why we feel the need to run Joelinton into the ground when he's available.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Question for everyone. If there was suddenly say £50m and a few hundred grand wages a week available today, do we think Eddie would want to bring in a creative player similar to the type being spoken about? I feel like we'd get another fast winger or tall lad.
  15. What's it like being thick as pigshit? Must be class.
  16. He's been amazing for us but this should be his final few months now. That performance today was old yeller, "I'll do it" behind the curtain, George and Lennie endgame stuff. Still a warrior and a leader and a legend, of course.
  17. Name another winger who's played the amount of minutes he has and not scored a non-penalty league goal in over a year then.

    Jacob Ramsey

He makes good forward passes through the lines but when you've got wingers that have chalk on their boots constantly and the two most static strikers in the league, he'll never manage to show it to good effect. Looks about the only one other than Bruno who'll create anything and yet only enters the pitch in an emergency.

    Yoane Wissa

Rondon was miles better than Wissa has looked so far. Scored 1 in 3 in a team that had no money spent on it and wasn't interested in attacking.
  20. Outfought and out thought by a better side today sadly. It wasn't like we were really bad or anything, there's just far too much reliance on the wing play strategy to try and score. One of them can't be arsed in the league but is picked come what may, and the other is played out of position, so it doesn't work against any half decent side. Absolutely nowt comes through the middle at all. And when we do manage a good cross, our strikers aren't in there. Too many times when we're trying to force the issue, we seem to fritter away the game getting fuck all shots on target. Two strikers who don't ever get between the posts and the most shot-shy central midfield in the league (Bruno aside) will probably do that. Come the summer, we need more artists in the centre/wide positions and fewer warriors to balance the mix. I'm not so sure we will do it but that's what it looks like we need. Not his finest hour today, but far from his worst one. Still loads to play for and history tells us he'll get us somewhere come the end of it all.
  21. Must be class knowing you can be absolutely trash in the league game after game and be under absolutely no threat of being dropped.

    Yoane Wissa

Looked way short of what was needed today.
  23. Seriously, this referee is a fucking joke. Utter cunt.
