I don't think Eddie rates him particularly highly but the fact he's trained with the first team for a long time and will know the defensive patterns etc probably counts for a lot and might see him trusted for a game or two whilst we're in a bind. For what it's worth I saw him for Bolton away at Wrexham last year and he was entirely unremarkable at League One level. Did nowt wrong but didn't stand out at all.

An obvious improvement from the weekend in terms of application and the basics. Still massive issues in terms of the midfield being far too easy to bypass, a chronic lack of creativity all over the pitch, and the prospect of a makeshift back four in the next few games. Well done to the manager and the lads for just about navigating that one & special mention for Miley who did very well out of position and carried on his welcome recent scoring habit.

Wissa looks good and some encouraging signs from Ramsey. Murphy providing so much more than either of the headband hombres. Livramento looks uncomfortable on the left, Bruno was poor, all the buildup play way too slow, midfield far too easy to play through. Level pegging probably about fair after that but we need to up it second half.

Our build up is so bloody slow, just allows them to get set and snuff us out. At which point they make two or three passes through our paper mache saloon door midfield and get through it quickly.
