  1. Played his bum boy Gordon despite his league form being a disgrace for a full calendar year, spent £55m on a Sunday morning player and £45m on a lad who can't get off the bench. Not good enough.
  2. "Eddie knows best" Allowing a performance like that in a derby game, elite manager my arse. Not the fact we've lost, but the utter limp dick spineless nature of that performance. Fucking crap. He'll learn from it though, when we lose the next away game.
  3. Disgusting, cowardly performance. Players and management want fucking shooting.
  4. Pretty poor that, although they've created nowt for all their huff and puff either.
  5. Should have told him this was a Champions League game and he might have tried a leg.
  6. Feeling the derby day nerves now, but probably not to past levels. Unless we turn in a Brentford-style shit show, I think we get something from the game. Whether that's a point or three depends on how well they play, luck, the ref, and whether we can for once not shit our duds and concede late.

    Vurnon Anita

What a lot of bollocks Alan Smith Amdy Faye Jean Alain Boumsong Dan Gosling Jack Colback Florian Thauvin Remy Cabella Henri Saivet Matz Sels Without even thinking for more than a minute. There'll be another two or three dozen before Anita even comes into the mix.
  8. Knowing him he'd end up with the brother!
  9. I agree with you & my original post wasn't aimed at you in particular, although I can see on re-reading that it seems that way - sorry. I'd of course choose the latter scenario over the former. But, I think a lot of people seem to be underplaying the derby like it doesn't matter at all and of course we don't have to make that call, we can avoid defeat in the derby and still get CL.
  10. Sorry, why is it suddenly cool to not give a shit about losing the derby? Quite rightly our season doesn't hinge on it and there will be lots more important games, but it still has a level of importance to it where getting beat absolutely sucks and winning it would be class for both fans and players. Is this just a hangover from the Pardew derby wallopings era where people are used to and resigned to a disaster happening or something?
  11. I think the importance of the derby to the individual definitely hinges on whether you work or interact with mackems or not.

    Joelinton

Ideal situation would be he's not fit to start at the weekend. Second half cameo might not be the worst thing if we need it but Miley deserves to be in there and will help us use the ball better.
  13. I'd still be sliding a tenner on the draw just in case though.
  14. Changed the game for us even before the goal. Should be in the first choice three by now. Joelinton is stinking out the gaff every single week and Miley has played very well every time he's been given a chance.
  15. "He always learns from his mistakes" is the song that the ones who won't hear any criticism of Howe whatsoever love to sing. Obviously the players are culpable and it's not all on him, but it's his job to fix this kind of issue and it's happening constantly now.
  16. Good thing he spent massive money on players he doesn't trust whilst the ones on the pitch are blatantly out on their feet. I'm sure he's trying really hard to fix the late goals problem but he's not helping himself and it's happening too often.
  17. Get the fuck in. He's absolutely changed the game since he came on
