So what? We are still a massive club, just one that's going through some really bad times. Is that so hard to grasp? 'Massive' clubs DON'T go through 'hard times' - ask, Arsenal, Man U, Liverpool for example ; when were these clubs last facing the situation NUFC faces(and has done at least 3 times in the last 30 years)? Real Madrid, Barca, AC Milan, etc etc....? Arsenal were s*** , early 90s, Man u were relegated in th 70s, Liverpool were nowhere before shankly. Were Arsenal relegated ? You are grasping at straws trying to equate Liverpool and Man U with NUFC ; Shanks took over at Anfield in 1962 for heaven's sake - as for Man U, one relegation in 60 years(and winning Europe's top trophy 3 times)hardly puts them in the NUFC failure class ; if you want to make comparisons, choose someone like the Mackems - oh, sorry, even THEY won the FA Cup in 73 - FOUR YEARS after OUR last trophy...! Get real pls.... ermm, i wasnt comparing those clubs to us , i was replying the the comment Massive clubs dont go through hard times

People fucking suck this shit up as well, just spotted this on another board I post on and I'm afraid I had to bite. yeah ive responded to a couple of posts like that on other forums. there is a media driven stereotype floating around of what the typical nufc fan is like and it bears little relation to the vast and varied reality. People conflate typical with having a relatively high proportion. The NUFC stereotype is as accurate as that of any other other club's fans. Where did you Rob that computer from Wacko.

i heard his Agent on Radio 5 today, saying there was too much needed at Sunderland and that he would be interested in Celtic. Lazy fucker. Turns down a real challenge but offers himself up for possibly the easiest job in professional football wants champions league football, How many times have Sunderlol played in Europe?

it's a paradox. yes i want my club to be the best. i want the world to be in awe at my club.......................but at the same time after years of the seriousness of old trafford and white hart lane i'll make more of an effort for the fun of oakwell and loftus road. im with madrass on this, i think its an age thing, but all my best times ( before kids, and morgages and stuff) were during second Division times and a spell of shit first division in the 80s.

SO what happened about Steve Bruce then, I thought it was a done Deal yesterday, then Today Bilic is turning them down,.. Sunderloled

they are obviously playing brinkmanship with AS, saying, well alan if you Don't want the job, with no transfer budget, we will just get joe back. also,...if they had offered alan a reasonable budget, it would have been done and dusted by now, its the keegan crisis Talks all over again,. Just f*** off Ashley. Not this time. I mean, not when the club's desperately praying for season tickets' renewal. If Ive learned one thing about ashley, its that he dosent try to buy his way out of problems. edit , read golf mags hoses mouth thread, says what id already figured out,.. no money next season

Unbelievable the column inches that we generate from journalists making us into a big club by endlessly and boringly claiming that we're not one. Honestly, it's only the press and other supporters that go on about our divine rights and delusions. There's a point to this article, I suppose, but TBH if all I wanted was cold hard logical decisions with no passion or spirit, I would start going to watch international chess tournaments rather than football. Would rather Shearer had a shot and failed than just immediately replacing the team and manager with a bunch of Allardyce-esque robots who'll do us a job and entertain us not one bit. Maybe that's just me, though Nail Hit on head, squarely, he wants the Soap opera to end, by earning a good living writing about it for a National Paper, and he doesn't see the irony.
