  1. I wish the light would flash and take me back to 1992.
  2. I have heard this rumour now from a number of sources. That ashley is considering putting the club into Administration. What are the implications of such a move? What are the consequences? How did we end up here.? Discuss.....

    Financial meltdown?

People disagree with you because you make up what they think. no I don't. You are now telling me what I think ? You have done it to me in this very thread man BTW mate, the general opinion on the other message boards is that this one has the most Ashley-backers on it. So it isn't just me. I think this is the most pro Ashley board, or at least was, at the time i was banned a couple months ago.
  4. I saw any number of young chavs? I was wearing a suit jacket, shirt and tie, black trousers, winklepickers and a bowler hat.
  5. Saw quite a few fans heading up, when i was at monkey spar today.
  6. what does that even mean? He will reduce spending, till he breaks even, or makes a profit, regardless of where that has the team ending up. We could be relegated a couple of times while he makes the club self sufficient. Please tell me you can understand that. Shall i draw you a picture? you're talking about him reducing an asset worth 250m when he bought down to lets say 70m so yeah, maybe you'd better draw me a picture He couldnt find a buyer so he has switched to plan B,.. stop spending money , consolidate his loss. He will run the club without a loss, could see us in the Championship, or league 1. This is really straightforward, are you not well or something? "consolidate his loss"? jesus you believe this don't you? he'll lose 100m the moment we go down, where's the consolidation? Well thats the big mistake , nobody can understand. Ive said it else where, If hed backed Keegan, with 30 or 40 million, it would have actually cost him nowt, in relative terms. But to answer your question, yes he will lose 100 million or so,. he will consolidate by not spending anymore,..theres nothing difficult to understand there?. you may not agree, I absolutely dont, im just pointing out what i think hes up to,. I could be wrong, i hope i am, but everything i see, suggest Im not wrong. well i'm not gonna say you're wrong 'cause i can't fathom fuck all about this shit but anyone who who "consolidate" by losing what he's about to lose is patently insane, if that's what he's doing! Ok , pehaps, consolidate was the wrong word. Ashley, will stop losing money, by not spending anymore. Is that plain enough for you. And by the way. Yes i know , his asset will depreciate, with this plan. But he will not lose anymore money, if he spends none, and runs the business at break even, or a profit. Surely you can get your brain around that. dude i know what you're saying all along and if it was a ford cortina we were talking about that needed a new gearbox i'd agree, but for a man to invest 250m+ and then remain motionless as it could potentially be reduced to 0 is unfathomable in my mind i think you're right, to a small extent; i think he'll outlay the smallest amount of money possible to keep us ticking over and potentially stay up/get promoted but i can't allow the thought to enter my mind that he'd let what you're saying happen it's surely never happened in the history of business nevermind football/sport? It does seem absurd, its the only thoery i can find that fits whats going on. that he has accepted , he has made a huge loss on his purchase, and wont lose anymore money on it. And that he will not invest, in attempt, to re establish the value in the business. In other words, he will not speculate, to recover his losses. fits in with the rest of his portfolio these days, agreed Assuming we are on the right lines, the question, is, where can this policy see us end up? Championship, or lower?

  13. Ashley will, let the club settle at whatever level, it reaches break even or a small profit. Untill he sells. Be that championship, or league 1 , thats what he will do.
  14. Heard yesterday, that we were 5th when he took over. I dont know how anybody can be behind him and retain any credibility.

    Funny thing...

I think i would rather have chopra at the moment than, i cant be arsed, i want away Owen.
  16. Blue Team is looking something like this (v. vague) GK: NSG RB: Greg LB: The Prophet CB: Rich (hopefully) CB: ? (maybe Cp40) RM: t'Dave LM: Robbo_11 CM: Disco_Des CM: Stupeedo FW: Wullie FW: Ash I'll play centre back if cp40 doesn't want to, I don't mind playing there to be honest. if i make it, i could rotate with you ash,. i can play up front like shearers last seasons, not a lot of movement, knock a few defenders over, score a few goals.

    Financial meltdown?

Horse shit on the legends, has just claimed theres a rumour, if the toon dont get any points in the next 3 games, Ashley is going to put the club into administration.
  19. too early, thought it was gonna be 6 ish,,,,,,,,,,,, i wouldnt listen to me tho, cos im not sure i can make it.
  20. oh yeah, right bunch of fucking freaks last time, even turned the lights out so we didnt have to look at each other.
  21. In the 70s and 80s, the stadiums were shit and in a state of disrepair, police crowd control was reactionary, provocative, and amateurish, fans were rowdy and violent, ticketing policy was inconsistent, Tv coverage was minimal, The blame,.. or reason for sensible people , is a combination of these factors, in almost all the cases mentioned.
  22. Gimp didnt know his arse from his elbow when i side stepped him before my goal.
  23. I watched that game while hanging on to the advertising boards in the "Scoreboard" end at the Gallowgate, from where my forum name arose. It was absolutely chocka in the ground on that fantastic day. I watched it from the Leazes, after being unable to get in the gallowgate, someone shouted theres space in the benches, we ran up, and ended in the leazes. after that tho, i watched the rest of the Keegan seasons from the centre paddock , hence my forum name, it was my first season ticket, £20. Incidentally, i took my daughter, to her first match, against stoke last season, when Keegan was announced,...she was the same age i was in 1982, and we stood in exactly the same place to queue, im not kidding, exactly the same place,.. and i shed a little tear,.. not sure if it was for my daughters first match , or KK returning,.. both probably.
