Is Dennis Wise a disruptive influence? Or are the fans making him one?
cp40 replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
there's a few quotes from mort from around january which basically say that keegan is just the coach. i think he had some say in the targets but they were unrealistic so wise and the other two had to get the players in as the end of the window was getting nearer. There’s also quotes from Wise saying Keegan had the final say on transfers. Face it, the management structure Ashley put in place was/is garbage So why do you think Wise undermined him on the last day of the transfer window and not the first if this was always the case? For me, the explanation that best fits the information we have is that Keegan was jerking everyone around until someone finally lost their temper and told him to f*** off. Getting sacked with compensation was always Keegan's main objective, and he took advantage of it. Everyones happy to laugh and denoune it as rubbish but i dont see many alternative explanations being brought to the table. Personally my theory is that Keegan didnt know the market well enough and struggled to find players who fit in with the clubs (now vindicated transfer policy), he constantly reminded everyone that premiership experience was vitally important but obviously this criteria would contradict the clubs transfer policy as there were few players who would fit into the young and premiership experience criteria, andwould provide value for money, Guthrie is an example of when Keegan got it right. I think that the club brought the attention of many players to keegan but becasue he didnt know who they were and dint have an oppurtunity to see them in action he turned them down, i belive this process went on and on until Wise and co felt they had to act and hence the signing of Xisco and Nacho, we apparently had bids for Warnock and we also alledgedly had atouba on his way which shows that the club were looking to fill the LB spot. FUCK OFF -

Apart from the club's official statement when KK left? And Keegans elation at signing Xisco and Nacho. Didn't Xisco say he met Keegan who told him his plans for the club before signing? Not really the actions you would expect from someone who didn't want the player. He did. I still think KK got Xisco & Nacho dumped on him rather than had a say on it. That word there is the biggest problem with all versions of events people come up with about what happened. Sadly I don't think we'll ever find out the truth. if it gets to court we will, if not Ashley will have to settle out of court with KK. -

My interpretation is that he's primarily youth based but also suggests players for the first team as well. so where does laying the law down to Kevin keegan, having turned up late smelling of drink come into it. Proof? Quotes? Video evidence? Hearsay? FACT...allegedly -

Ask yourselves this. Are you happy with the current situation at Newcastle. If you are, then hes not a disruptive influence.and you could 'enjoy' us being relegated. If your not,.. then do you believe DW. influenced us getting here. If you think he had no influence, then why is he on the payroll. or as i see it,.. we are in the shit, and he was a big influence in us getting here. -

He is a cunt. -
Or beat Man Utd at home when we battered them first half but lost to Cantona's cunt punch of a goal. shocker, was probably his only touch that game. he should have been banned for kicking a palace fan in the throat anyway.

This whole thread has turned into an episode of LOST for me.?

so you're not going to tell us what merits you see in appointing a manager who wins 4 titles with 2 different clubs and 3 manager of the year awards, to add to the 3 managerial appointments already that you have clearly backed on this message board ?

http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/news/1.503866 Surely the "Messiah" would be more appropriate or the Geordie Messiah even............. Maybe you could be Fullwell end? or 'I dont like to see The toon win'.

rate solano higher than Keegan??? talking bollox as usual. Oh come on it was obviously a typo and Fredbob was referring to Solano over Beckham. You're just sidestepping the issue i accept, Sbr was a more accomplished manager, than KK, but taking age into account, and the fact keegan , had a better record here. Plus the fact, Keegan has at least one good job left in him.

I wouldn't listen to a word that fuckwit has to say. I used to think that, but he's really improved as a poster over the last few months. I meant Supermac ofc. Although you're right about cp40, I mean, he didn't even mention Keegan in that post! you never noticed my sig like?
