Ending up at Bayern has to be seen as a success for us, considering it could easily have been Chelsea or Man Utd. I'd have been really disappointed in him if he chose Chelsea because he's always seemed like a smart lad... he's better than them. So fair enough that it's Bayern. I actually thought we might've had a chance against them, such is the Premier League pull. And they've been slightly off the boil of late (Kompany manager, Trippier bid, Dier purchase, 3rd in Bundesliga). But we never really stood a chance of buying Olise. It was all about putting our name amongst the elite, a statement of intent.

That's a big Maatsen fee. Is he good?

It's underway.... https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2024/06/14/euro-2024-notes-joy-for-wirtz-havertz-but-no-clean-sheet/

Sick of Chelsea, like. Really thought we'd finish above them for a second successive season, now they're manipulating all these players into thinking they're not a disgrace. Might sound crazy but I think he'd pick us over Bayern.... this version of them seems a bit off, they have Kompany in charge + aren't PL. Sounds like Man Utd's poor budget put managers off, while Man City are nervous about their 115 charges. We might therefore be in a straight shootout with Chelsea. From that point, hey maybe Olise is a smart lad. He rejected them last year, after all. Ahhh what am I doing... of course we won't sign him đŸ«¤

Slovakia's current coach Calzona has just dual-jobbed it with Napoli for the last few months.
-
If it were to happen (which I doubt), it's maybe the best way to end things. We get to move up a level with our next appointment, he gets a top gig and it'd be a parting of ways without any toxicity or nastiness.
-
Will Terzic go where Still and Rosenior wouldn't dare?
-
He's staying, that's absolutely class
-
Think that earlier source is a bit dodgy but Olise seems a smart lad, I'd be surprised if he chose to go there.
-
He's one of the few names linked who is actually alright, I think. Unfortunately.
-
Well..... he can't be worse than Dubravka.

Even someone under-par like Longstaff should fetch more than £15m, like. Get it to £20m and let's start talking.
-
Think Brighton will fly too close to the sun here - fair play for taking risks but this one feels a bit silly and unnecessary. Playing 6D chess when everyone is just 4D.
-
Had no idea it'd be towards £40m. Wow. Free money.
-
I'm dangerously adamant that he's not leaving this summer. But probably also need to stop rolling eyes at the noise.... just in case it actually happens!
-
Video was meh but the gear looks proper lush. Excited for the store to open. Our football club is properly back, man. Feels class

With money now needed on a CB, perhaps we sacrifice this year's GK purchase. Or hope that the RW signing unlocks Gordon to be a back-up forward (+ keep Wilson).
-
Good riddance to the prick. Fucks up our summer budget a bit.
-
It would've been frustrating had they secured William Stilliam, as he'd be a decent coup for their level - emphasised by the fact that a Champions League team from 6 months ago has snatched him at the last minute. Then again, Still has really landed on his feet hasn't he? Not sure he's quite deserving of something this good....
-
Feel like this one has turned a sad, predictable turn. Fuck Chelsea, man.
-
This is insane self-harm from Chelsea. Love it.
-
Think we'll get top 4 next season but hopefully there'll be the safety net of 5th-place being good enough to qualify.
-
Emotionally, I'm gutted that there isn't the momentum of a second season in Europe. And it only intensifies the Bruno rumours. Could've been a fun adventure. On the other hand, Conference League gives no financial boost, won't be the difference between a player staying/going and - mathematically - we'd still probably not quite win it. This frees us up to get a top 5 league spot and hope it'll be enough for UCL. Buy good players, get Tonali back, play once a week + let Spurs/Liverpool/Villa drop. Maybe this is one of the stages of grief
-
The player who underachieved the most compared to his xG. I guess that could be taken either way. But no thanks.... certainly nothing over £15m.

Jaw is still on the floor with this one, I can't believe they've fucked themselves over like this. Defeat snatched from the jaws of victory. Great news for us... especially with those rumoured candidates. So hilarious
