"There are two outstanding names that are there...... Eddie Howe and Roberto Martinez are also managers, in unrelated news"
-
May as well now keep Jones for Brighton and prioritise a Director of Football. Then there's a 2-week break to get someone in. Or at least just get Howe until the summer, keep him off transfers, hope for the best and start again *if* we survive.

What a fuck-up. #AnyoneButHowe
-
I'm trying to console myself with looking at how things work in Germany - they're always looking downwards, unafraid to hire a 'lower' coach or give senior power to someone else's youth coach.
-
"The club are increasingly confident of appointing him" - of course they are, he's Eddie pissing Howe
-
Surprised the thread title change wasn't just 'Emery'
-
I'll take this morning's 50/50 situation over when Balague tweeted, I guess. His reasons seem a bit wishy-washy and was it definitely our side that leaked it? Because there we were being impressed with how nothing was leaked for 2 weeks, as the odds couldn't settle down. There was nothing to go off. And now suddenly a leak ends the deal? The longer this goes without being completely off, the better. Just have to hope a deal can be resurrected and his weird Howe concern can be put to bed.
-
I suppose he'd have flat out said no post-match if these concerns were real. The stuff about leaks, Howe, having no structure at the club yet.... these aren't late night developments.
-
You'd like to think those concerns could go away after another chat with Staveley. Silly reasons tbh.
-
The panic of that Emery answer is quickly over. Phew.
-
Villarreal FT. Let's see if anything is said post-match.
-
At least it's not in the Wankdorf Stadium this time I still can't believe that's a real combo
-
It's not hatred, just a feeling that he's overrated.
-
Would be a fantastic, highly impressive appointment. Newcastle Unai-ted
-
I can name one promising manager who is only 601 games behind
-
Spurs, man. Lucky bastards.
-
ten Hag Emery Benitez Fonseca
-
Would love Emery, especially compared to the Halloween horrors reported in the past week.
-
Even assuming Watford will drop, I don't see who on earth can be the 3rd team except us. Cut adrift and it'll likely increase by January.
-
Guys, guys..... I win this one. Last night, I transferred out rotation-risk Reece James (21 points) for Trent Alexander-Arnold (1 point). I've actively cost myself 20 points there, this streak of transfers is all-time unbelievable
-
8, honestly. Only hope is that our exceptional circumstances could convince a Wilson or Willock to stay for one year in the Championship. ASM is probably a bit too far.
-
I think it's been made incredibly clear by now that the odds mean nothing in this case. Stop falling for it
-
Not good enough. It needs to be amazing, right now.
-
Hopefully either ten Hag, Jardim, Emery or Fonseca. I'm undecided on Favre and Rafa. Really hope it's not Martinez, Lampard, Gerrard or Howe.
