i'd say physical strength, passing ability and i'd look at the person as well as the footballer. too often we've had good players, but their attitudes have been a letdown. thats why im warming to the bullard link.......not the greatest technically, but you know youll try his hardest. its stating the obvious, but sometimes thats all you need.

Hopefully our painful habit of not building on good results doesn't happen next week......i reckon spurs are there for the taking. they dont get stuck in like wigan, stoke etc. All of a sudden, things are looking better. If West Ham lose by a couple today theyre 18th. West Brom are gonners and Blackburn are starting to get cut adrift (hoping they dont sack Ince). Three away clean sheets too! Marvellous win. ......still dont like Kinnear though!

next week: arsenal vs wigan blackburn vs liverpool man utd vs sunderland bolton vs chelsea big weekend for us, and we have to beat stoke. west hams next 3 games are liverpool, spurs and chelsea too

not a bad set of results today, although we could have done without wigan winning. cant help feeling that the win was there and we missed the boat again. need to turn these draws into wins soon

I'd go with GK: Harper, Krul DEF: Bassong, Taylor, Edgar MID: Guthrie, Duff, Butt FOR: Carroll, Ameobi (plus the young 'uns) Duff, Butt and Taylor are there because realistically we couldn't get rid of ALL the deadwood. But having said that, other teams rate Taylor highly for some reason and Wigan/Bolton are always linked with Butt. Carroll and Shola up front.....put on yer kagools cos itll be raining goals!!

On the pitch we're fine but I'm worried for January. Seems unfair that its taken a few years to assemble this squad and now some makeshift manager comes in and dismantles it. I don't trust him to replace them, just like I dont trust his tactics. Enrique and N'Zogbia (maybe Owen too) are going and I guess if people come in for Barton and Given, Ashley will get his revenge by cashing in. To get the last laugh. Then the squad is worse and we wont be fine on the pitch. And if he cant sell the club....oh dear. I hope I'm overreacting
